RPGM Abandoned Femdom University Zero [v1.60] [Salia Coel]

Just gonna go on a hunch and give my two cents on why the project is just doomed.

- Salia always disappears from the surface of the Earth for extended periods of time, same reasons are being given every single time "Was sick". As much as it could be a real thing, it's kinda weird that someone gets incredibly sick for +6 months like clockwork for years only for the cycle to repeat, once again, like clockwork. We've seen this kind of behavior with many game creators in the past, it's never really a good sign for starters. Some disappear for like forever and come back with something that make their wait worth it, but in this case, not so much.

- Salia is tackling multiple projects at once, which honestly, is never a good sign for games like those. It delays any potential updates or just burn out creators to the point they abandon projects completely. But that's normally how it goes for either greedy devs or people who are just overly enthusiastic. They start creating so much and end up never finishing anything.

- The game is currently a broken and untested mess and has been especially since the latest update. No word from Salia about a fix. Just released it as is and dipped. Furthermore, a lot of the prior updates which often were touted as "Some of the biggest updates/overhaul" were updates that actually added very little. I skipped so many updates and went back to play this game on its current version and was welcomed with a relatively decent amount of changes,
despite the game being broken. But yeah, I skipped like 2 years worth of updates just to get about an extra hour of content.

- The usage of AI is often a catalyst for game creators that it's basically time to dip. If done right, it can be just whatever. But when some are caught, they feel the pressure as if they know the walls are closing unto them and they'll be perceived as massive frauds. Whatever you feel about the AI in this game, the judgement is up to you to have. Ain't gonna condone or condemn it as I don't particularly care.

That being said. I'd like to wish Salia the best, but if or when she returns she would respond to this post, I mean no ill-will. Just get your shit together, stay healthy if anything. Currently the state of the project ain't looking particularly great and does need to be addressed. It would be a shame that what some considered be one of the best femdom games on the site had its reputation gone to smoke.

I'm willing to believe sicknesses. Corona affected (and still is) a ton of people. There's lots of different things that "sick" can refer to, not just physically. At least she DOES give a reason and heads up. That's infinitely more than what some other devs are willing to do.

Which is definitely a valid argument. I definitely trust Salia way more than the likes of Dekarous (Which is quite literally the most full of shit dev out there), Redamz and who the fuck did Goddess of Trampling but keeps insisting the game is still ongoing despite no actual update in years and past updates were just literally the same previous update as the last but "revised" with "totally new content" wink wonk.

To her credit, Salia does offer actual original content of her own, which is definitely way more than I could ever say than 95% of the RPGM devs out there.

Just wanted to clear any potential confusion by saying I didn't mean ToT by "Goddess of Trampling", GoT is a 3D femdom/giantess oriented game which has been abandoned for many years.

I'm not going to counter the argument for ToT, no worries. As much as Bo deserves many of the criticism coming his way (as long as it's valid, mind you), he actually ends up coming up with something, but also stretches himself thin with so many projects at once. Other than that and some usage of AI, I don't have much going on in terms of criticism towards Bo.

Well, the project has at long last earned its abandoned tag. It's a shame as this is one of the better games out there in the femdom genre, and I believe at their core Salia does try. Let this one serve as a good example to aspiring developers out there, architecture is important for your games - as your skills improve over time you may become very discontent with how you have things setup. Ideal world here is Salia reverts the most recent update and just labels zero as finished, so they can work on a new game that has all the bells and whistles they want without the tech debt nightmare that exists in the current game.

This game was a pretty successful project in its genre. I was still one of those who liked the real-time 3D version of the first game, Femdom University. But Femdom Zero was also a good job.

After all these years, it feels unfair to both the developer and the users that all this work has been done before it reaches a final conclusion.

I hope all this work and artistry isn't abandoned halfway through.

It's abandoned. It was supposed to be patched to fix the mess left behind in January/February. The only thing that happened was the dev going away for a while then coming back with "plans" to make new shit instead. It's over.

If you think this is what completed looks like, I have two much more "completed" games for you. One involving a tower, lots of trampling, with no ending (currently). The other starts with dom and ends with ina.

Oh really? What happened to those discord exclusive AI things that were toted around? Still exclusive, or were they even used much?

...Another reason I dislike exclusive communities like this. I'm not joining something like that just for one small benefit. Especially ones that are pay to access

Well I think you are talking about the game on the computer but we play it on Android it is really beautiful and it is not finished I think in the next update it will be very amazing on Android it will allow us to go to the city and add new battles and open the rest of the locks by training Jesse in the gym and fighting with Isabella or the skull leader girl who helped you when the gang caught you well I think the next update will be big and very beautiful for Android I hope it ends soon and thanks to the game developer

I always prefer the original Femdom University over this but this game is pretty goof too.
The problem is Salia keeps jumping from 1 thing to another

Long story short: Dekarous has for the longest time been overly lazy. Shit coding, overly using AI or bad photoshop skills, straight up lying to his patreons about working on the game (Like releasing an update which I believe was 7.0 or 7.5) which apparently wasn't even worked on for around 9 months according to game files (so he just sat on the update to syphon patreons money), finding excuses like "My mother just died of Covid, will mourn and go to her funerals" and when the apparent day of her funerals was going, he was seen (and self admittedly) gaming the entire day with his buddies online. Add lack of actual playtesting on top of that, which makes even Katalist looked like a flawless masterpiece in comparison and him stiffing his artist and throwing them under the bus to cover for his own incompetence, and well... You got Dekarous. Oh, almost forgot to mention how he spent months on end to expand the lore by "creating maps" and updating the wiki. Even tho the wiki was clearly written by ChatGPT and said maps were taken from Ultima (lol). Oh and beside his self-insert as the game protagonist (Yes, it's supposed to be him as Mary is supposed to be his ex artist), he also stole a bunch of fanarts to "design" some of the dominas while claiming total originality (example: Madelaine is a Pokémon fanart of a humanoid Tsareena. Deka just removed the crown thing and called it an original OC).

His latest updates definitely have less bugs and all, but it's clear he's being helped by ChatGPT to do the simplest things like coding and such. We're talking about Dekarous. The guy who worked for years on RPGMaker and always made it looked like it was a hard engine to use. The guy who flunked two games due to his own incompetence and one of them was intended to be a visual novel. The guy literally tried to make a visual novel on RPGMaker because he is too dumb to use Ren'Py, which quite literally is "Baby's first visual novel engine". Lastly, Dekarous also claims very often that he makes his own RPGMaker assets, which isn't true. Maybe perhaps the characters sprites, but the walls, trees, chests and whatever else? Nah man.

Hope this answers your question. You can support the guy or like his game all you want. But he has shown times and times again over the years how sketchy, untrustworthy and lazy he has been.

PS: I know it's kinda ironic to say "Long story short" with all this, but we literally could spend hours talking about the guy.
