... and the other half didn't call it only because of "everything points towards Lydia, surely that must be a red herring".You and half this thread.![]()
Well it was over 2 years ago, haven`t read anything about it at that point. but heyYou and half this thread.![]()
The game ending at the bar was the previous version. So you either somehow got a wrong file or there may be a save issue.I downloaded 2.5.7 and it ends with the shocked MC visiting a bar, but the walkthrough shows that the game goes on for quite a bit after that - what am I doing wrong? I'm sure its something obvious and I'm being dumb!
Thanks, I guess Ill delete it and redownload it thenThe game ending at the bar was the previous version. So you either somehow got a wrong file or there may be a save issue.
Before you do that try rolling back 5-10 screens then trying to continue, a common issue with renpy is that if the save is too close to the end of the last version the new version won't be recognisedThanks, I guess Ill delete it and redownload it then![]()
Completely separate, simply make a save at the end of week 1 when the game tells you to, then, when you start week 2, select continue from week 1May seem like a daft question, but with downloading week 2, do i have to sync that in anyway with week 1 or are they just completely seperate?
The one that you playI'm very confused with the Fetish Locator mastermind.
In the LC path Lydia hired Jarome to create FL. He then programmed an AI that has run amok, and Lydia didn't know about the VIP club.
but:
In the NTR path Lydia is some Uber-Mistress with a Cock Throne (I want that asset so bad) who orchestrated the whole thing and Jarome and Pete are her sex slaves.
So which one is the true mastermind? Which one is canonical?

For me i will say NTR Lydia makes more sense with all the hints she was involved over the course of the three weeks, even if the result was over the top in a "James Bond villain" way.I'm very confused with the Fetish Locator mastermind.

As long as there is no "FL 2" continuing with the story, we won't really know what the dev considers canon. Like Boss for me NTR feels way more fitting (and also has way more work in it) so that would be my guess - but it is only a guess.I'm very confused with the Fetish Locator mastermind.

The NTR explanation is such an ass pull, and works so effectively as fanservice for the people who kept whining about Lydia, that I'm pretty much certain it was a later addition.I'm very confused with the Fetish Locator mastermind.

Both of them are. A single guy developing a rogue AI out of thin air isn't that much believable. The NTR explanation is such an ass pull, and works so effectively as fanservice for the people who kept whining about Lydia, that I'm pretty much certain it was a later addition.
It isn't but it fits within the much more general trope of off-screen computer technology being absurdly powerful. Like how on forensic shows they can zoom into a 640x480 image and get an extremely high resolution detail. I remember laughing out loud at that but I could mostly accept it because the characters behaved like themselves. Well, I could accept it up until a murderer on one of those shows somehow etched in a pattern to the victim's bones that worked like a magic QR code and destroyed the lab's computer's when they were scanned. Both of them are.
