Confirmed. This will be fixed in v0.6. Thank you!

Edit: Okay, I've fixed this. What you said was exactly what was happening. When you select the "Unlock all the scenes" option from the main menu, it calls a function that dutifully unlocks all the scenes, but when it returns to the title screen, it was running the standard "unlock whatever scenes are in the registry" function as part of the scene initialization, thereby undoing the previous action. Also, using the New Game menu option will make the Spank Bank unlock permanent.

I'm not 100% how this got broken, but I suspect it occurred when I re-designed the Spank Bank functionality to perform its functionality in C# rather than Adventure Creator visual scripting. That means this was probably broken in v0.5.x.
Hey man, first i LOVE the art and everything on this game.

Okay, now while I get you not wanting to post till you have a good chunk of content to get with it. Is there any chance you'd be willing to post a hotfix just to fix so the gallery unlock buttons work? I beg ‍♂
I ask because i've tried the stuff here in the comments and it won't work for me.

I hope you stay the way you are. I’ve seen developers completely ruin their games with absurd decisions, adding questionable content like NTR, bestiality, gay stuff, and the like — either through easily manipulated polls or by suddenly inserting it into games that initially focused on themes like incest or harem. Developers who once said they wouldn’t add such content but later backtrack, usually for reasons like attracting a broader audience, adding "diversity," or simply for money.
My Venn diagram for what makes an acceptable kink is Adult + Human + Consenting. Two of those things you list (NTR & Bestiality) fail that standard. As far as "gay stuff" as you put it, I'm struggling to try to imagine the player that wants both straight and gay content in the same game. Seems to me you either make a straight game or a gay game. Trying to put both in the same game is like... who is the audience for that? I know bisexual people exist, but that's gotta be what, like 3% of the population?

NTR and Harem games do not mix at all, imo. Putting NTR in a harem game is like... if you go to the Wikipedia Page for that band The Beach Boys and look at the Past Members section, it will likely have John Stamos in there. Remember Uncle Jesse from Full House? For like six months he was a member of The Beach Boys in the early 90's, which makes me want to run head first into a brick wall when I contemplate that. Anyway, there's my metaphor for discovering NTR in a harem game.

Some devs focus on flooding their games with empty, irrelevant characters and give them scenes, instead of focusing on the main characters that actually matter. These games end up full of characters that honestly contribute nothing beyond pointless scenes, while the main characters are sidelined — or worse, ruined — by making them do disturbing things like having sex with animals or being involved in NTR scenarios (even if optional). And then there are devs who just abandon their games, leaving them half-finished and without meaningful content for the main love interests.
It's important to me that each of my characters be unique, such that you can describe them by their archetype without describing their appearance or clothing. For example, I can explain how Nicole and Jasmine are different characters without describing their appearance, despite there being some similarities.

If I ever abandon the game, it's because I've unexpectedly passed away. If I need to step away from the game for weeks, months, or longer, I will announce it and explain why (while suspending revenue).

I really hope you stay honest. I appreciate the way you approach this game, especially the fact that you communicate with your followers and treat this more like a hobby — which, in my opinion, is the ideal mindset. I truly hope you don’t lose that direction. It’s hard to trust most devs nowadays.
I don't know why that perception of not trusting devs exists, mostly because I've only played/followed about three or four other games in this genre. My guess would be any of the following:
  • Dev realizing their game has become unmaintainable as it grows larger. (I worry about this but take steps to foresee problems and remedy them as I go)
  • Dev not being able to handle criticism (especially haters).
  • Offering too many side perks for patrons like commissions or other things that take away from actual work on the game.
  • Getting bored with the game you're supposed to be working on and succumbing to the temptation to start over and "do it better THIS time."
I don't know. I'm genuinely curious about this.

I'm hesitant to do that because what will happen is I'd make a branch based on v0.5.0.2... call it v0.5.0.3 and then the main thread would be updated and then people will come rushing in because NEW UPDATE!!! and then the most bad faith actors on this website will come out of the woodwork and just assert over and over that that measly bug fix is all I've accomplished in the past few months.

As a workaround for now, you can do any of the following:
  • Use the Start from the Previous Update option from the New Game menu so that you don't have to finish all of the story, but just Jasmine's and Brooke's. Then hit every scene you want within that game that unlocks the scene permanently (I believe all of the gallery scenes are repeatable).
  • Get a hold of a save that unlocks all the 0.5.0.2 content and do the same thing as above (this saves you the effort of having to finish Jasmine's and Brooke's story. There's about 20 scenes in the game so it will be annoying but you can repeat all of them.
  • If the above is too annoying, one option is to download v0.4.2, which does not have that problem. You'd only be missing the Jasmine Cock Worshipping Scene and the Brooke Handjob scene.
Those workarounds aren't perfect, but it's better than playing the entire game from scratch if you don't want to.

A lot Woman.
A lot of woman love BL ( Boys love ) aka gay stuff, to the point they are the main demographic audience for Gay romance tv shows, comics, anime etc.
It is the same as a game having lesbian stuff for men because a lot men like see women do lesbian stuff.

I think this issue goes beyond personal preferences. What bothers most players isn’t what kind of content is in a game, but how that content is handled. The clearest recent example of this is Daily Lives of My Countryside (DLOMC).

That game started out as a rural heterosexual fantasy, harem-style, with no controversial content. The creator himself, Milda Sento, clearly stated early on that he would not include gay content, bestiality, or NTR. However, later on, he ended up adding exactly that —mostly due to results from SubscribeStar polls. While the scenes are technically “optional,” the problem wasn’t the content itself, but the broken promises and the sudden shift in direction.

The strongest criticisms DLOMC receives today (and there are many on Reddit, F95, and even YouTube) point exactly to that: the game feels like it was hijacked by extreme fetishes without narrative logic. Players who came in expecting a light erotic story with village girls find themselves, hours later, encountering gay and bestiality scenes that were never foreshadowed or mentioned. The overall feeling is one of creative betrayal. And even if it’s optional, that doesn’t fix the fact that it breaks the original player expectation.

The same thing is happening with Summertime Saga. Development is slow (it’s been over 7 years), many storylines are still incomplete, and much of the new content is decided by Patreon polls. There are frequent complaints about bugs, broken saves, forced minigames, and endless routes that never reach any conclusion. The community is growing more and more frustrated because the game keeps going in circles. The most common criticism: the project seems to lack a real direction and feels more like a revenue machine than a work with a clear ending.

Going back to your point about mixing gay and straight content: sure, there are players who can enjoy both. But if a game is presented as straight and later introduces gay content without any prior notice, that’s not inclusion —that’s a lack of honesty. You can’t expect a player who has invested hours into a heterosexual fantasy to suddenly accept content they neither expected nor asked for. The key isn’t to censor anything —it’s to communicate transparently from day one.

As players, we’re not asking for only what we want —we’re asking for coherence, clarity, and respect for what was promised. In this genre, trust is everything. And when a game shifts its direction without warning, the community rarely forgives —and for good reason.

The polling or ability to suggest content by the people who pay/subscribe is a major issue with game creep, imo. Devs are dependent on income from subscribers and I think many times the high payers want their fetishes and desires to be included in the game. I've seen that in several games I follow where the initial story or original idea changes over time. The addition of new female characters as a way to keep the game "fresh" ends up with the LI's that people are interested in getting less attention as the game goes along.

That's called fanservice and let's be honest, it's the most damaging thing that can exist in any game, series or whatever.

Oh hey, it's me! I'm the 3%! It's like pizza and pineapple. They are both delicious individually and together, but it's not necessarily a popular combo. I seem to be all about flavor metaphors today. I'd argue, probably with a lot of pushback, that anybody who's into say futanari, sissification, or just transgender people is somewhat bisexual. Those are not unpopular categories.

I think the issue with NTR, much like the futa/trans tag here on f95, is that it's too broad. It needs more specific categorization (which is something that people seem very loathe to engage with) as to who is cheating and what even is cheating. A pure harem game by definition is one person who has a free pass to cheat on a number of different love interests, which is NTR from the harem member's perspective. Of course part of the fantasy is that they're ok with it. I think your average harem enjoyer would hate if some other dude came and tried to seduce the love interests, but obviosly for some people that's appealing as there are whole games made about that. On the end of the spectrum, a lot of people expect that the members of the harem are supposed to sit around doing nothing but pining for the main character all day. That seems exhausting and unfair to me. I'd prefer more of a polyamory situation where they also get involved with each other, even if some of those members have male genitalia. But that could be considered NTR as well.

So there's a lot of variables involved and people have different tolerances. Tricky situation that will only get worse because nuance is dead.

It's important to me that each of my characters be unique, such that you can describe them by their archetype without describing their appearance or clothing. Those are all potential reasons, but we almost never find out why. We just see the abandoned tag when they go radio silent, and it happens often enough that it's considered the norm. I know the first time I ran into it the author's father had passed and that was the last thing they posted. Just vanished after that. Very sad. Also more than we usually hear.

I use polling primarily to gauge feedback on what I've done or feedback in what I'm planning to do. This game has been dramatically shaped by feedback from my supporters, but handing over major gameplay decisions as a referendum just doesn't seem like a great idea.

I have some subscribers who throw ideas at me just to see what sticks and I welcome that. Sometimes people have good ideas that have made it into the game. Occasionally, someone will sign up and try to leverage their membership for something or the other and I have little patience for that, but that's very rare. In fact, I think that's only happened twice. I'm reminded of the line from Milton at the end of Office Space, "'Scuse me! I can take my traveler's checks to a competing resort...

I'm sort of protected from that kind of leverage because my subscriber tiers are only $1-$5. At $10-$50, you have to put a substantial carrot on the end of that stick, so I see how some other games can run into problems.

that was years ago :p we done sexy time with atleast 3 or 4 char :p
To be crystal clear, currently vaginal sex is available for four characters, but two of the four are provided as "Bonus" scenes, meaning they're not reachable in the story and are provided as extra/bonus gallery scenes. Here is what is currently available:
  • Irene (Aunt/Gilf) [canon vaginal sex + Impregnation]
  • Lucy (Ghost) [canon vaginal sex]
  • Charlotte (Aunt/Milf) [vaginal sex + Impregnation, but only available as a bonus scene]
  • Meredith (Mom/Milf) [vaginal sex + Impregnation, but only available as a bonus/extra scene]

Surveys aren't the problem in and of themselves, and you've obviously hit the nail on the head. Many authors feel pressured when someone offers them a generous subscription in exchange for certain content. In some way, they want to return the favor to those subscribers, but they don't adhere to their own determination and judgment. All surveys, like suggested ideas, go through the developer's filter as long as they know what they're doing and what their project focuses on. They shouldn't feel obligated to do whatever anyone tells them. Fanservice is good to a point, as long as it doesn't create division within a game with an already established genre and story. It's like some new games where developers include future tags in the developer notes. Many already warn against NTR; details like that are invaluable. Surveys are fine as long as the developer designs them according to their own criteria and not under pressure from certain groups. The truth is, there are many devs like the one at Eternum who earn a lot, and you don't see them making stupid decisions.

Should be in Post #1.

Hi, is there a way to navigate the house more quickly?
Here are some options:
  • If you double-click on a non-hotspot, MC will run over to that area.
  • If you see an open doorway with an Exit icon, you can double click on it to have MC teleport over to it to enter the next room.
  • If you explore the major rooms in the house (upstairs hallway, bathroom, attic, living room, dining room, kitchen, tool shed), you will get a Teleport to MC's bedroom fast travel icon.
  • Although not specific to the house, if you explore all the basic locations (diner, Irene's House, Arcade), you unlock the ability to open the map from MC's bedroom.
I do intend on adding more fast travel abilities at some point.

You're welcome and thanks for playing my game. Cheers!

What's new in the update?
The top-line items for this update (v0.6) go something like this:
  1. Four new quests: Hostile Workplace?, Blues in A Flat, Getting to Third Base, A Gathering Storm. These quests will revolve around being able to visit Meredith working in the diner and minor drama ensuing, more progress with Meredith on the sex front, her having car problems, and MC's deadbeat father coming back to town and the ensuing drama.
  2. Improved Meredith Sprite Rig (similar to the one Jasmine, Brooke, and Irene have) which supports her in her waitress uniform.
  3. Two new gallery scenes/mini games (Meredith Strip Poker, Meredith Cunnilingus)
  4. New Background: Diner Exterior
  5. New Character: Carl (MC's Dad). These quests both improve the existing story and take us up to the cliffhanger where Meredith announces a family camping trip (which will be the entirety of v0.7--another Meredith update)
  6. Too many minor improvements and bug fixes to list... (An Achievements Menu has been added to the Main Menu, Meredith Handjob scene has been improved, you can now enter Meredith's bedroom while she's using the vibrator, etc...)
