You didn't mention where to collect the scissors or how to get the "Mother of all Bombs" in the guide and you might want to include that for those who haven't figured it out.
I just looked. It's in the walkthrough in the Bonus Activities section.
Originally, I had planned time travel to be used as part of a larger Nicole story that had a Day of the Tentacle style romp through time and that an optional side Easter Egg would be to revisit Edgewood Campgrounds and go back to 1969 (Nice!) to screw the aforementioned star-gazing camping enthusiast.
I've since scaled back the scale of Nicole's route so that I'm not looking into the 2030's to call the game finished. The current plan (at least for Season One) is to scale down (or at least deprioritize) Nicole and Caydence routes and keep the Camping Trip easter egg scene using time travel options brought in from Caydence.
I'm not sure what you did to Jasmine in the scene where you're first climbing into her room- but she's especially gorgeous there! Probably something to do with her eyes? But that's just my opinion,
I don't know how that scene hits players, but when I see that scene of MC climbing into the window, I get Maniac Mansion vibes. It's the first time we see Jasmine's full sprite rig. I'm personally partial to when she turns around and shows us her backside. I also find myself mesmerized at that downblouse shot where she's leaning forward while MC works on her computer, although I think her face could have been drawn better.
Also the future exclusion of Nicole is a personal bummer to me because I've always looked forward to how that could play out as well as her lines of interest and Irene's hints at it as well- but I can see why you might want to cut that avenue because her archetype is sorta being covered by the other characters and you've only got so much bandwith.
I just have too many characters that need love and Nicole happens to not poll as well as many of the other characters. For now, she works well as an eternally and frustratingly friend-zoned girl-next-door character. When I get some of these other characters like Jasmine and Aunt Charlotte (who I plan to complete in 2026) off the books, maybe I can revisit this.
Also I know this is still probably far from complete but I do like that you don't necessarily cut out potential girls because you've become entangled with someone else (even making it so different characters enhance eachother *looks at Brooke and Jasmine*) I'd really appreciate if you kept that sentiment moving forward! In my opinion games of this type making you pick and choose inhibit themselves because it can take you out of the experience. This might play counter to your leisure suit larry inspiration where you only really get one "prize" for the most part, but I think it's just an ethos that could continue the enjoyability of the experience!
When it comes to the unwritten rules of the Five of a Kind cinematic universe, I often make this clumsy analogy with Guitar Hero. Imagine if before you could play any song in Guitar Hero, you had to spend 5 minutes tuning your guitar and then doing another 5 minutes of sound and mic checks. Guitar Hero skips the boring stuff and takes us right where we can rock out!
Off the top of my head, here are some unwritten rules that only apply to Five of a Kind Land and not real life:
- Women generally are not particularly possessive of MC. In every case, there is going to be some (bullshit) reason why one LI will tolerate MC fooling around with another one. This is primarily to keep the stories separate, which makes programming far more manageable, but obviously it's also super convenient when catering to an unapologetic male "harem" fantasy.
- LIs are (recklessly) flippant about the prospect of getting pregnant. It would be realistic for characters to worry about contracting STDs and obviously getting pregnant is life-changing, but these are fictional characters and mentioning those things is the "sound and mic check" equivalent, getting back to the Guitar Hero analogy. That's why you can get a condom from the Mens's Restroom, but every time you present it to a LI, they say something like "I hate those things! Don't ever produce one of those again or I'll kick you in the nuts!" It's much more fun to pretend those concerns don't exist when there are no real consequences.
Also- I know the focus of this game has incest and this is probably something that has been heavily debated but maybe just having an optional selection when making a new game in which you could change the relationships might bypass the concern in the future. Options like- Relationship to characters: Family, Step-family, Land lord
It really hasn't been heavily debated. From the conversations I've had with subscribers and the player base, I can count on one hand the number of people who have asked for an option to turn off the *ncest, but it's never been a demand. I have one long-time subscriber who has been a fan of the game despite not being onboard with the whole *ncest idea. To me, that is the ultimate compliment. For players who want it to be more of a step- kind of game, the existing dialogue already kind of works for that, at least in English.
The only convincing argument to add this option would be if doing so would allow me to put the game on less censorious platforms and widen the access. Unfortunately, even if I made it Landlady by default and gave players the option to turn the dial to Step-mom and then Actual Mom; it would still not be allowed on many platforms. Therefore, it's not worth doing it because there isn't a significant audience for it.
Finally, (sorry if this was long winded) I noticed in those teaser images about the strip poker that it was a different aesthetic to the included ones on the computer. (I think you hit gold on the computer so far and am looking forward to the other lady's inclusion, maybe just a tutorial level or a cheat sheet as an addition for those who haven't had much experience with the game could be helpful) Is there a potential addition in the future of optionally gathering character with a high enough reputation stat for strip poker game nights? I imagine that would be super difficult to include but it could be a neat idea to mix and match people of interest for unique winning or losing scenes (or even just for the thrill of getting them nuded up lol).
I don't mind longwinded posts. I tend to be longwinded myself, in case you couldn't tell

.
The retro Strip Poker on MC's computer is meant to faithfully recreate the experience of someone in the mid-90's playing Artwork Strip Poker when you *ahem* didn't have the original game box or game manual
...because you downloaded it off of some pirating BBS. In 2025, we take for granted that games have built-in tutorials and instructions, but back then that information came with the purchased copy of the game. Back in the day, you may not have known how to play poker but you knew that if you kept clicking on things even randomly, you had a chance of stripping a 16-color pixellated woman down to nothing, which seems lame now but was quite titillating at the time. The only real change I plan on making to the retro computer Strip Poker is adding the other girl and then calling it done.
Strip Poker with Meredith is a different thing altogether. It's been integrated into the story... No Spoilers.
It has long been my intent to have Strip Poker be something MC can do with Brooke, Jasmine and Andrea. This post is already very long, so I'll just say I would very much like to extend the Strip Poker to add additional characters (Aunt Charlotte, Jasmine, Brooke, Nicole, etc) and the possibility of taking my first baby steps into Android Development is now on the table. It would be neat (I think) to export the new Strip Poker mini-game (not the retro one on MC's computer) into a standalone Android game.
I don't give release dates and my official answer to this question is "When It's Done." The only thing I can say definitively is it won't be ready before the end of July.
Cheers!
