Use the Enigma VB unpacker to isolate the game application fro its assets. I think that will help you to play the game smoothly.

Thank you for the info, got the berries first, then I got stuck.

BTW, anyone know how to edit the saves? Normally there is a .rpgsave or .rvdata2 file, but I can't find it for this game. Trying to boost the MC's stats so he doesn't have to take any of the girls.

Use RPG Maker Save Edit or Online save editor to change the MC's and other's stats. That will help you to win the battle easily.

I also got stuck there, I start the game from 0 and chose not to help the Charlotte in the castle. That worked for me
