They're shadows applied randomly to one of three possible exists. Pictures won't really help you as the sequence is random. In editor they show up as bushes (the ones with a white border). You can see groups of four at each exit below.

You have t spot the prints (they are a bit subtle) and take that path. Then do it a couple more times (3-4?). Which path changes each time and I believe that 1 wrong path returns you to the beginning. Once you see the prints for the first time, it is easy to follow them (because you'll know what to look for).

Huh. So the bear is not in the berry-bush area hidden behind the stump? I had just kept randomly running thru the forest til the stump vanished, as was under the impression the bear was supposed to be in that hidden area.

I actually had looked for tracks out there because the NPC villager said he was looking for them but had never spotted them, probably because they looked like plants. That's why I just kept randomly running through until I found the stump disappeared and assumed the bear would be in the hidden area with all the berries, since berries tend to attract bears.

The game has so much squandered potential. It certainly had everything it needed to succeed. An interesting start and slowly buildup of corruption... good art style although very simplistic and clear quest objectives for smooth progression. Sadly most of the good stuff is 'under construction' or not that satisfying at all except the bandits rape scene... I think that bad ending is the most satisfying and fleshed out imo.
Wish it was made on renpy and not rpg maker because No wonder it has no mods or extras lol... RIP FOM and Nerion2 for abandoning this.

Yes, there really is a lot of potential in the game, and it's a pity that Nerion is gone...
I don’t agree about the engine, renpy is still a garbage dump, if this game was renpy, it would hardly have been familiar with it. On this engine, 90% of the garbage is made, moreover, very boring and ugly.
There are games that are suitable for the same renpy, and there are those for which this miserable engine is contraindicated, and here the Fountain of Mana is contraindicated for such muck as renpy.

I know Nerion will come back someday.
If the creator is online here all the time but haven't updated the game since 2+ years with radio silence then it's likely never happening. Burnt out, creator not interested anymore or it can be a plethora of reasons why this was abandoned so I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
I'm just surprised there are still a few patreons that are dumb enough to keep their subscription going. Probably whales or people that genuinely forgot they ever subbed to this.. funny thing is, the sub is still going so its free money to nerion lmao

Maybe he got too much C-19 Boosters (there are possibilities to get the body clean again of most of this indigrients) or just private live issues. Could at least write something why he paused developement.
Well the patreon and subscribestar sub is still going which is exactly why he doesn't acknowledge the fact that the game has been abandoned, the money will keep coming in monthly with absolute zero effort on his part. Depends on where he lives, he's comfortably making over $150 every month and that is still a lot of money to lose out on...
I'd say nerion a scum to keep his sub going and not delivering anything in exchange but I never subbed nor paid him a penny anyway so fuck do I care... its their money, to each their own.
Anyways what's going on in FOM's discord? Anything new there or are they huffing copium same as us?

I have already suggested that other talented people, and they definitely exist, and the modifications prove this, continue and bring his work to its logical end, since he himself did this and does not even want to honestly explain himself to the people who waited and believed in him.
This game has been going on for years! I'm talking the original RPG Maker game years.. It would go dead/abandoned for a couple of years than an update.. than go dead again for a couple of years.. this is really a super old game.
For me it was the art style of the game and also Ravy's body is hot damnn.

To me it was the slow corruption which is really rare. Most games are, boom, you lost a fight, you got raped, lol. I like the foreplay that comes from doing bad things over and over again, until the protagonist is ready for more.
Oh yeah such games are hard to find, especially where you get groped again and again which increases your corruption and then also leads to unfortunate events. The mayor plot was also great in these regards and bandits too. Working at the bar and messing up your order is fun

Nerion used to disappear for a long time, like year and even more, but he did comeback. Almost 2 years past. Maybe he will back again... who knows
