There are huge differences to be honest.

I am especially fine with both the love and slave route and content with the tone that is being set in the story. It goes far yes, but not too far which is fine with me in all honesty.
"Huge" implied differences, yes, but I was talking about the actual execution of the ending(or to be more clear,an actually different scene).
From what I remember its pretty much the same(bar the already mentioned dialogue changes).
As far as the slave routes are concerned eh I found mindbreak to be a poor choice for book 2 since it outright derides the affected character of agency and personality.
Book 1 and 3 handled that better.
You guys are gonna find me arguing about this until the end of time, but I firmly believe that VNs and just eroge in general will never take off in the US (or even the west, for that matter) as successfully as it has in Asian countries (particularly Japan). Of course it's our silly culture over here. I feel like the overreliance on Christian values and morals and all that shit has led the US to just generally fear nudity and eroticism in media and culture. Hell, you can't even show a vagina in most mature media, but words like "fuck" and intense gore are fine! I could go on and on about how we need a mini cultural-sexuality revolution of sorts over here in the States, but to cap it off: the sad truth is just that if you want the deeper, more developed, generally better VNs and eroge games, you're gonna have to learn another language or patiently wait for a translation.
The western community actually went through some incredible growth considering it has only been a little over ~2 decades and the product being inherently foreign.
15 years ago it was rare for people to even admit that they play video games, these days I keep meeting weirdos freely discussing frigging hentai.
Its not like the japanese industry just suddenly popped up either,it went through its own growing period(as did everything related to it,hell from what I gathered playing eroge is still done behind closed doors over there).
While I will agree that its unlikely the western community will grow as large as the eastern one I think its somewhat premature to consider its zenith reached.
Well as long as we dont get another soccer mom putting her nose where it doesnt belong.
Far as genitalia and sexuality is concerned...yeah mate thats a US problem.
Quite frankly most parts of the EU dont give a fuck about freely showing that stuff(admittedly you are unlikely to see a show solely based on nudity pre-8pm but in other contexts its not rare at all).
