Omg man, I spent like 3 hours trying to find everything. That feeling of getting lost like 8 times is not pleasant at all, let me tell you. But then out of nowhere you try something and it finally works, but it takes forever, dude. In the others I managed it way faster, but this one was tougher.

Also, the plot was super predictable, I mean… usually the most suspicious person is never actually the culprit, you know? Hahahaha. And on top of that, I wanted more than just one scene with Jinora and Ikki… but okay, I guess.

Overall, my experience felt unsatisfying, both because of the frustration of being stuck over and over and because the rewards just didn’t feel worth it…

Well... I expected more. At least at the same level as the previous ones.

I think MITY spent too much time creating the game around this mechanic of the bag and did the scenes with no creativity, without exploring the Halloween themes as it could have been (not even the plot). Additionally, we barely "mixed" items, so why this mech was all about, and need to test everything when you feel stuck, might be frustrating as hell. Felt like a badly made puzzle game, without thinking from the perspective of those solving, with an ocean of possibilities. But in puzzle games, we have more hints and intuitively solve them with more logic than just trying things almost randomly. But this all would be ok if the scenes were good... and they were pretty much generic (I even feel like he used only already drawn models from FET to create almost everything - not to mention the sex with the whores being zoomed in and just a straight-up recolor, I know he's used to using recolors on FET and the same body models but this time was really lazy). And to finish, the "secret scene" with Jinora & Ikki felt like being the same thing twice, no boobs, again with preset body models, no teasing or anything new. Indeed felt like this whole story, our "Tenzin" was just worried about reading his book and came up with whatever he could to fill the blank for this special month. In other words, I felt like MITY didn't actually want to make this Spookytimes. It was just his job. A goal to finish. Not a piece of art and fun that he wanted to present.

At the end of the day, I'm playing it for free, so I can't complain, and I won't make anything greater, so... cool, I guess. 6/10. Enough to pass. Happy Halloween.

Spooky Times 4 - Happy Halloween! [Edit new v6 to fix bug when visiting Ikki]

Hey All! Happy Halloween!

First of all, I had a bunch of fun making this Spook Times. And not nearly enough time... as always! If you don't know, Spooky Times are standalone Halloween inspired mini-stories using the perverted FET universe as its backdrop. A bit crazier than normal, but maybe also a bit more fun because of it?

I tried making this Spooky Times slightly different from the first three. Not too different but this might require a bit more from you as a player to finish than FET or 18Titans. I wouldn't call it difficult but you can still get stuck at times so I added some hints in the "latest update" part of the game. This time it's more of a detective.

I added an inventory which itself isn't new. I already did that in the very first Spooky Times, but there are more combinations possible this time. It should be easier to deal with though since I've made most of it a simple drag&drop system. I wasn't going to at first, but halfway through I noticed I was having waaaay to many dialogue boxes which was ugly and cumbersome.

Anyway, this inventory thing really sparked my imagination but lack of time had me cut a lot of stuff/scenes. Still, I think I have something interesting for you! And relatively on time! Just wish I had another week to kick it into proper shape.

BUGHUNTERS! Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately I had to spend most of my time trying to figure out how to solve the false flagging of the files. That was a major time sink and I haven't been able to add all the things I wanted or just add polish in general really. That was a big disappointment to me.

I still managed to add some things... just not nearly as good or many as I wanted to. So what did I add? I added Ikki into the story! You'll find her in front of the graveyard if you start a new game. I added a scene with Lin using a blue long thing. I added a scene with Pema at the end to give it more of a proper "scary end" and I added some pics to the vampire girls scene. I also wanted to add a Korra scene and much muuuch more, but all of that is still sitting unfinished on my hdd.

So, I imagine this build will still have some problems! If you find any, be it bugs or whatever else, you can let me know in the comments or by sending me a dm. Both methods are fine and it's all appreciated. If you want to tell me about something, I want to hear it : )!

Making a wrong decision in Spooky 4 ISN'T a bad thing, in fact it can be a good thing because it might show you something you wouldn't get to see otherwise... keep that in mind!

Thanks and I hope you'll enjoy this build!

Cheers and Happy Halloween, Marty

EDIT: version 5 had a bug when visiting Ikki, v6 has that fixed!

I need a damn walkthrough cuz I'm stuck with the gravedigger. I don't know how to get into the graveyard. I've done everything, I even took Joo Dee's money, I already have Poppy workin' as my whore, and I've even spent like 100 bills on street whores, someone tell me how to end my suffer so I can kill myself.

Yeah, I think this is the case of ''God fucking dammit, I wish you'd just take more time''. MITY is very anal about meeting deadlines, which is good, but when the product suffers...What's the point? I'd rather he take another month to flesh this one out, but now that it's released it's basically over since he NEVER updates his standalones with new content. A crying shame.

I completely agree. The devs themselves admitted they were short on time. With a bit more development, the whole thing could’ve been so much stronger. For example:

  • Extra scenes with Ikki at the cemetery, actually contributing to the story instead of just appearing briefly
  • Moments where Jinora’s ghost shows up in the cemetery as well, tying her presence into the narrative
  • A less predictable plot. Everything basically screamed she’s the culprit, so it lost all suspense. A twist revealing it wasn’t her would’ve added way more intrigue
  • More meaningful “break” or “pause” sequences. There’s no point in giving the player the option to go to the bathroom or take a break if nothing changes anywhere. They could’ve shown Korra meditating, Jinora training, etc., so the world feels alive
  • The other capsules could’ve featured different monsters, zombies, mummies, werewolves, and so on, instead of repeating similar beats. Honestly, I expected way more variety
  • And a hint system. When you’re stuck, even a subtle “I think I should try doing this…” would’ve prevented the frustration loop.
And personally, I would’ve liked to see at least one scene with a younger Jinora.

Overall, that’s how I felt while playing. Not sure if you all had the same experience.

For Ikki/Jinora you might need to answer something like "flat is the best" when questioned about boobs. Also something like "okay I see your point" afterwards. And clicking on other rooms a lot worked for me, but I clicked on a box in the toiled a bunch.

Ok I beat it! The Ikky Jinora scene was really nice but I wish it was a little longer. Even if he was unwilling to make more art for it, at least include a little bit more talking so it can be enjoyed for longer after I had to spend so much time getting it haha

For all the complaints I have about this build it's insane that he made a full game in a month.

I wish the secret scene at the end was more differentiated, but honestly, it was fun. The blue dildo was funny, the pussy pics were cool etc etc. I had a lot of fun for a game made in a month.

The game is quite interesting, with a bit less content than the previous installment. What's more, the Halloween event in the Love Route episode is MUCH better ! Unfortunately, despite its small size, it's heavily bugged. That's my only complain.

With poppy as your whore you need to:
cut holes in the sheet joo dee uses as a blanket and give it to poppy so she can wear it
as the whores about missing girls so they give you a new place on the map to go to

While he(I think its a team actually) makes stuff faster than most devs, its probably salvaged parts of unreleased spooky times last year. And a lot of content, such as sprites, is reused in general, which is a good thing. But tight deadlines seem to be causing some issues, since a lot of side content seems unfinished. You always have to prioritize, but its disheartening to read "due to deadline I had to cut multiple scenes out". Logically, I understand that I got other scenes instead, but emotionally it feels bad.
And time constrains dont mix well with bugfixes, and as the result it feels especially annoying, when release is filled with new gimmicks, and you cant tell if something is bugged or you supposed to do something else. I cant tell if graves are bugged, or "bad end" is the intended way to get items from them.
