Yes it's with MC's mom, no it is not forced.
The lesbian scenes are part of her arc, so you can safely skip them.
Lol. This makes no sense. Why make it part of her arc and then make the scenes optional? They should be optional scenes without being part of her arc because you make them part of her arc it will make people curious to watch those scenes because they will be missing content if they dont watch it. IMHO I honestly think the mom's arc needs to be rewritten as to have either two paths the player can chose with the lesbian route and the non-lesbian route or just write out the whole lesbian part out of her arc and still make the scenes optional.

You made the scenes optional, yes BUT you just said that it is part of her arc which means that is part of her storyline which means making those scenes optional is pointless because people would be missing content for her if they chose not to see that part and therefore it almost forces the player to see those scenes just to not miss any of her content. If you understand what I am getting at.

Just like the last update. This game is unplayable. Only get kicked back to the main menu. last playable build I had was 1.1
Also I cant leave a review for some reason. Left a review on the last update. Maybe mine got taken down for some reason. Either way, THIS GAME IS UNPLAYABLE AND LITTERED WITH BUGS. and yes no matter if i start a new game or load an old save.

this game is full of bugs, every single update, last update when i do certain quest, its go back to main page and keep happened the same and new update also same, go to fixit electronics, after talk to Mai husband and its going to the main page again, every single time.
I suggest renaming the game in "Time Loop"... Every time after new version, you end up in a wormhole, a black hole, and you have to start the game over again every time... because the old saves don't work... respect to Author .. new systemof playing in game industry

So i'm like 4 minutes into the game and already stuck. I'm in the coffeeshop and want to make an espresso. I take a bag of beans and the the only option I can see is clicking a box on the shelf to add milk, cream or liquor. I can't find any way to continue from here.. What gives???

This is exactly what I am talking about the logic in having the mom having lesbian content as part of her story but yet have the scenes optional. The scenes can still be optional BUT the mom's story should have alternate non-lesbian scenes if the player should choose to avoid them. This also the same logic that some developers have when it comes to "avoidable" NTR that the player can choose not to watch it BUT it still happens instead of offering an alternate scene because if I am not mistaken but isnt there a LI that still has sex with someone else even if you dont watch the scene BUT you the player still knows whats going on?

Try these steps:
- Delete the persistent folder:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\FracturedVeil (or under the projects working name DarkSecrets) - Make sure no old version of the game remains anywhere.
- Re-extract v1.7 into a fresh new folder.
- Start a new game (do not load anything made while any mods were installed).
The patch is tested and stable on clean installs.

Yeah i get what you mean, and while we currently don't have a second path for her arc, we will definately have one. It's just that the content isn't there yet. But rest assured, the lesbian path will always be optional. As i've stated plenty of times previously, any content that is not the usual softcore stuff.. will be optional, skippable and wont affect gameplay.
But yeah.. i'm a solo dev, and things take time.
But it isnt at the moment and you make the lesbian path first and very important to the story and people that isnt into it we are fuck not very first impression i got whot the game T_T
