No sexual tension and simple relationships? Blud forgot about the dynamics between Philip and Isabel's mom. Also, the stuff with Isabel is slow because she's a princess in a relatively safe place where its citizens respect her, of course her "seducers" have to play the long game instead of risking getting culled. Philip is actively in enemy's territory filled with horny women who haven't had a proper man in ages. It has nothing to do with her personality since Philip's and hers are exactly the same; honorable, kind, and utterly naive about sex.
