Art is subjective, people can say what they like.nobody can say it's not good
Also, as others - and you, yourself - mentioned, the quality of the images is objectively poor.
If you knew the patreon tiers weren't ready, that the images weren't great, and the whole concept of the project may or may not even be delivered, you should've known you were going to receive criticism and either waited to release it further in development, or just be a bit more honest.
Trying to "trick" players isn't great, opening a patreon without offering or promising anything isn't great, and not being able to accept that your game isn't yet good is not a great sign for the future.The polls are a nice trick to give the players an interactive involvement where actually there's none.
Wish you luck, hopefully you'll listen to the people here because this is your target audience.
