Ren'Py Abandoned Free Use House [v0.0.6 P2] [Aui]

The 'Abandoned' Tag is more F95z saying it's abandoned because of a several month gap between updates.

Unless the Dev is active on the forum and posting development progress, any game that hasn't been updated in x months (I don't remember how many it is) will be marked abandoned.

If the Dev releases a new update, then it will be untagged as abandoned.

This is my understanding.

Not "on the forum", the forum has nothing to do with it. The only activity that matters is the billing site (Patreon, Subscribestar, etc...). 3 months of no activity on these sites, and it's supposed to be tagged as abandoned.

"For years" is a stretch, it's 18 months to be exact. More than that just means people haven't reported, and the mods don't know about it, or some other special case.

Somebody remembers DoD too well lol. and besides this had an update just like half a year ago ish right? The one where the binoculars to the neighbor lady was introduced. Looks like they panicked and released a premature & hopefully good update to rectify the classification. This is next on my download list .

yup, the "Abandoned" tag is added when the developer says it's abandoned (rare), or when the developer doesn't mention anything about the game in a long time (way more common). If a developer drops off the face of the Earth and doesn't post in months, the tag will eventually be added. If the developer works on multiple games at the same time and forgets about one for a few months, the tag will eventually be added to that one.

But if the developer doesn't release an update for years but keeps saying it's being worked on every month, the tag will not be added.

If I'm understanding your comment correctly, you just didn't read what I said just below that, lol. The update that was posted here now is the last one, and is more than 1 year old. Game is dead, dev is gone. Hence the Abandoned tag hasn't been removed and likely never will be.

Oh. Time is a motherfucker. Ledamn and wtf all in one. Coulda swore this had a release more recently than six months ago but then again I did make a lamentation post here about them abandoning their first project. My apologies Joey.
