VN Ren'Py Fresh Story [S3 v0.1.5] [WetMelonPlay]

Let's be honest, the issue is not Steam or the move to sandbox; the issue is the complete change in story for season 3, you can not create an AVN with multiple seasons, then suddenly decide to ignore all previous seasons' choices just because you feel like it. Once you put multiple paths in place for players to follow, you can not just suddenly erase those paths. If you do that, you have just ended all the previous paths and seasons and started a new AVN, A remake or reboot or whatever you want to call it, its a completely new AVN because you're now being forced to start all over again regardless of how the last seasons ended for your choosen path, And then to be forced to marry your scumbag boyfriend after you dumped him and being shown flashbacks of sex scenes you may never have participated in during the previous seasons, It makes absoloutely no sence at all, they are just giving everyone the impression that they dont care about the whole story so far, or they dont care about there supporters/followers. I am not holding my breath to see them go back to the previous season's choices and paths because i think they have already decided where they want to go with this AVN, and it's not the same way that we as players wanted and expected it to go following our previous choices/paths, but hay you might be right and they could see all the negative comments and decide we were wrong to do this.

Yes,of course that's the whole problem but some of this changes did happen because of Steam - because Steam are not allowing some stuff and if you want to put a game in there you need to make sure it follows their rules and if it has some content they not allow like for example rapping,to remove it. And let's be honest everything start to go down and mess up the moment the developer put his game in Steam - after that not only the name get changed but also some stuff from season two was removed in next updates - i have the two last updates from season two ( 1.0.9 and 1.1.0) and in 1.0.9 you can choose to call and accept Jimmy offer while in 1.1.0 that choice is removed and you have only Oscar choice and the choice to try figure it on your own. I really think it's not good for porn games to be put in Steam because then you are forced to follow cpesific rules that are cutting a lot of options that you can put in the game and make it more interesting. And now with the start of season 3 we have a huge mess that doesn't make sense of the previous choices everyone did. Too bad because before the developer put it ins steam the game was really good and promising,now it start to lose a lot of fans but if he come to his sense and fix everything,may be stop presenting it in Steam everyone will once again be happy - let's wait and see what will happen.

It's no secret those advocating against the story going this way aren't doing so out of some altruistic desire, but a preference for their own tastes. As am I.

This is the game we play on f95. When things are going our way in a game, we use utterances like "Let the dev tell his story", and when they're not, we attack inconsistencies or find other aspects to question. With my above post I wasn't in the mood to type the usual song and dance, so I came right at it.

Right, Sorry to disappoint you, but we don't all play a game on F95 and shout negativity because a novel suddenly does not suit our taste, But yeah, ill agree some will make a noise because they don't like a certain way a novel has turned because it's not to their taste. But here this Novel had different paths for different tastes for both seasons 1 and 2 and told different stories/paths, now it's all gone and you're left with one path, staying with your boyfriend, yipppeee, even though you can dump him in season 2, now season 3 you're getting engaged to someone you may have dumped in season 2, does not make any sense to the story we have played so far.

A bit strange for me. Other games get a tiny bit of free roam, but must have a sandbox tag.
This one is completely switching into sandbox now, but because of the old VN seasons (which are actually ignored in S3 for their choices) it can't be added?

It should be called "Fresh story revamped" since all your choices from previous seasons are now gone, this is now a restart and has really has no tie to the story/paths chosen in seasons 1 and 2.

But didn't the main route with Archie split? You chose to forgive him or dump him, so which is the main route??
Shouldn't both forgiving him and dumping him be at the start of season 3??

The first version of Season 3 is ready and available to download. This build contains roughly one tenth of the planned content. It focuses on the main route only. The Paul and Kira branches will arrive later. Some features did not make it into this release, but they will be added in future updates. I am also looking for a UI designer to help refresh the interface.
Save transfer from Season 2
To carry your choices into Season 3, download the latest build of Season 2 on the same device, load your last save, and play to the end. Ren’Py will store your variables locally and Season 3 will read them when you start a new game. There are not many dependencies yet, so players without a transfer should still have a correct experience.


So,it seems Paul route where he is her boyfriend will come later but it also looks like you can continue from your saves from season two while i just started the season 3 from beginning - i guess i will check later by playing some of the routes in my saves in season 2 later and see after that by starting season 3 if will have some change instead starting season 3 from beginning.

I'm assuming by "main route" he means if u stay with archie, that's my guess

i love the game mostly cause Diana is so cute and am trying to give the dev the benefit of the doubt here i could be wrong and he fucked the game up completely who really knows but him

It's great news for me because I don't like pure solo feminist protag games, I find them boring with no relationship dynamic for tension.

Only reason I dislike it here honestly it's enough I might actually drop this game depending on if it changes or not undecided on that. If I don't drop it I may only look at the gallery / skip Archie scenes if I do keep playing if it stays as a forced path.

1/2 of the reason I got rid of the BF in S2 was because I don't like cheating in FMC games when given the option to get rid of their partner. At least when it's clear the game is more about the FMC than both FMC and Male MC equally. I will still play FMC games where you are cheating too just not a fan of it if there is a path where you don't.

ah that makes sense then if that is what you recall. tbh I played all the way up to until the last version where they changed her name from Kate to Diana and it broke all my saves / paths. So if something did change I have no idea about it last I played I broke up with him on all but 1 of my saves.

This to me is a move a lot of devs make. Drag your game along and when the content gets good, fuck it up by changing things and ruining the game. Also doing it so they can start over with the slow action again. Sandbox is my most hated thing about a lot of games. It's always just a bunch of empty clicking around and just feels lack luster to me.

started the game from season 1 .
the story is very disjointed and incoherent. it's weird, sometimes it mentions things I didn't see or hint at past stuff that I should have been made aware of but .... nothing. and it's casually mentionned . like right now she wakes up on day 14 and she mentionned how her boyfriend called her a whore on text, while I have never seen that text and they literally had sex in a cabin and seemed happy the day before.

that's only one instance of such things.
there really are story continuity problems.
my guess is that dev rewrote story and didn't account for all choices.

she also has radically changed personality literally overnight . . talk about "slow burn corruption" . cursing and shit talking people because she feels like it, when she was all saintly and innocent the day before.
