It's not that easy, games with even better renders have failed miserably, like the ones made by Silk&Milk, Heir Apparent and Primal Instinct.

After that, the dev has making other crutial decisions, such as translating his game in multiple languages with the help of his own community, asking his community to write good reviews in steam immediately the game was launched there and some other marketing strategies.

His own fault, though. Didn't lack talent and skills but never finished a game and kept holding them ransom.
Oppai is a great example of how showing reliability, taking user feedback into account, and knowing how to market your product (like you explained so well) is almost as important as the game itself.

Do you understand they said 10 months to release ALL season 2, right? not just episode 6. So considering episode 6 was promissed to october, this game is in a huge delay despite the fuckton of money he made on steam and all the hire of a lot of people to make the game release "faster"
