I guess we just see it differently. I didn't view it as childish, I thought it was genuinely degrading for Nicki, pretty freaky to imagine someone abusing someone like that in RL, and... pretty hot 'cause I'm a dark route enjoyer. If someone sent me a picture of my gf naked and crying, face running with mascara and her pussy all abused, with 'whore' and 'pig' and all that written all over her body, I'd be terrified. That's probably what the author had in mind, not some schoolyard bully shit where you have nerd written on your arm or somethingI know it's a kink for some people, but i simply can't take it seriously. Additionally, in the context of the game it's just juvenile dick waving and posturing that Guy is doing to get at Brent more than anything else, and it causes all the distaste i'd feel otherwise take a back seat for a knee-jerk "christ what are you, twelve?"

Dev Update! 5/19/25
Hey friends, hope you're all doing well this week!
First, just in case anyone missed it: I posted a new text short story featuring Madison, which has two pieces of art accompanying it. The first part of said story can be found (for free!) in the sticky'd post on the landing page. I'm not sure how long this one will be, honestly. I'm kinda having fun with it, so we'll see how much longer I want to keep it going.
As far as the game, work continues here in the rendering mines, and I'm making steady progress. I've added 250ish renders over the last two weeks, and I'm nearing the end of the work I need to do for the stuff that goes between the new Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. There's some additional background for our hard-luck hero, a new ero scene, and some little appearances from Carolina and the Chen family.
As always, things end up taking me longer than I'd like, but I'm working as quickly as I can to get this stuff finished, so I can move onto rendering Chapter 11. I promise, I'm just as eager to get back to the present as everyone else is. I'm planning to hit the ground running on June 1st, so that's my self-imposed deadline, to stop fiddling with other stuff.
Finally, just for fun I'm adding a little image of Isabella. Because when I buy a new lingerie asset, I can't not try it out right away!

It looks like it will take a while to get to Ch11. I thought that adding remake Ch1 with the rest of the story would take a week or two at the most, but it seems like it will take longer.
There can be justifications in the story you're reading, this doesn't mean that rape is a good thing mind you. We're talking about the logic of the characters, their motivations and so on, and yes, psychopaths have motivations too.
Coming out of the left field with rape is always bad duh doesn't add anything useful to the conversation. It looks more like a passive aggressive attack because you don't like people discussing changes they don't like in the game.

See, for me the whole concept of degradation with things like "whore" or "slut" doesn't work, because the only thing it does is reveal that the person who believes shaming someone for their sexual practices is making any sort of a point... is but a sexist moron whose opinions are then, by extension, worthless. Like sure, it can be hot when both parties engage in it consensually and "ironically" during sex and whathaveyou, but if someone actually takes is seriously, as genuine insults, and uses them in such manner? Get out.
I seriously doubt terrifying the recipient is what the author had in mind. You have to remember the recipient here is Brent who readily whored out said girlfriend. To me this was nothing but a "look you cuck, i have fucked your girl" petty dominance play which is basically the schoolyard bully shit, just exercised by bigger manchidlren. Now, i'd agree that Dark Guy very likely thinks he is making himself bigger with this. But like i said, i just can't roll my eyes hard enough at this sort of mentality, so it makes the whole thing (and Guy) just look stupid.

In the case of that picture showing a crying Niki with degrading words written on her.
Much like the idiots that do the polices job for them by filming their crime and posting it on the net.
Guy just handed the evidence of his Rape of Niki to brent and by that the police should brent take that photo to them.
Much like what he has done with the Drugged Ashe stream or video.
If the police were to get a hold of the stream or video inquestion.
So yeh Guy doesn't just look stupid Dark Path Guy is stupid.
Even the rich arn't guaranteed to escape the law if their stupid enough to supply there own evidence they did it.

The problem is technically it'd be just countered with "this was all consensual financial transaction and/or roleplay and now they're trying to get more money out of me because they know i'm rich" and then turned into a he said/she said. The fact Brent has sent Nicki to Guy with this very goal in mind and that Nicki willingly went along with it doesn't help to sell it as a rape, either -- it'd make both of them participants in selling sex which is just as illegal as buying it in most of the US. And when one side has 50 million bucks and unscrupulous lawyer while the other has nothing, the odds of such thing ending with anything but a settlement is pretty slim.

That excuse doesn't really work... As you say it's he said she said but that picture says different.
It add weight to their version not his and they only have Guy's words that is why she was their.
Guy has no proof Brent and Niki have the Photo and their story.
Plus the Money could be seen as a business deal or an attempt at hush money.
And then there's the physical evendence It could be argued she likes rough sex
But it could also point to Rape and given it's two against one saying that.
No they have more on their side than Guy do's on his and its Guys own fault
Also his money may help but can just as easly count against him.
And they don't need money it's the police that will be the ones to prosecute him.
Added to the fact that Rape is not as badly handled or ignored as it used to be.
And the Rich are rarely seen as Victims these days so not as readily believed.

I think out of all the characters, she needs love and Redemption the most
She needs someone like the MC to show her love and a good life
No matter what she does, she can still be loved unconditionally
I would not mind starting over a new game just to start a route
And even though it's never going to happen, I'm still praying for a miracle that she'll get her route
I mean, the picture doesn't really say anything per se. If it was consensual roleplay, it would look the same. Not to mention a lawyer could easily spin the stupidity of such act into a defense -- "my client isn't so stupid as to willingly incriminate himself, if it was actual rape".
The reality of things is that Brent and Nicki are in dire financial situation and desperately need money. It's very easy to paint their approach of Nicki's rich friend as an attempt to trap him in a situation where they could then extort him. And considering they do need money, i'd easily see Brent settling for some scraps before the loan sharks have him pay his debt selling his own ass on streets, instead of engaging in a lawsuit that may last years, isn't guaranteed to get him anything and that he can't even afford to begin with.
(to clarify, i'm not trying to say that what Guy did there was smart. It was no doubt reckless. But not nearly as suicidal as "handed out clear evidence that'd 100% get him jailed")

Yeah, after reading that short story, I empathize with Isabella, she loves Brittany in her own way. If she doesn't get a route, I hope she at least gets redeemed somehow.

I'm out of fucks to give for people who hurt others "but really, deep down they love in their own way". They can stick that own way of theirs up the arse. Also theirs.

I think people are confusing Justification with Reasons, and Psychopathy with ... Well shit just happening. Lets review an example.
Man comes home from work early, finds his wife in bed with his best friend. He has entered the home, and no one has heard him. He exits to the garage where he retrieves a sledge hammer. He proceeds back to the bedroom where he then murders his wife and best friend. Afterwards, he goes and sits at the kitchen table, calls the police and surrenders himself.
Is this justified homicide? No. Does he think it's justified? Maybe, but most likely he doesn't, and acknowledges that this was a Bad Thing, but probably still doesn't think he's a Bad Person, because He Had His Reasons. See, usually even in the mind of most perpetrators they can see it's not justified, and it's not excusable, but it's Exceptional. This isn't true of psychopaths, which is what many seem to want to paint the MC as if he takes any dark options.
Now, lets do a little timeline work. If you take the BADEST BAD DARKEST DARK option for Nicki, and Ashe, and Gabbi, and Viola, and... well you get the idea. Then yes, MC probably is a psychopath. But what if you take Good and Middle options for most people, and a Dark Option for someone else? Well... maybe it's something about that situation, that person, whatever, that creates a specific circumstance where something happens. This is a more nuanced character, and a more nuanced story in that case. Also a little reality, if you were to visit your local prison you would find an assortment of people there. Bad People, Psychopaths, and Good People who did One Fucked Up Thing are just three types, and while Bad People will outnumber everyone else, Good People who did One Fucked Up Thing will outnumber actual Psychopaths.
TL;dr People can have reasons without having justification, and one bad act doesn't make someone a psychopath.
