Is Gabby's new hairstyle there because she only just broke up with her boyfriend in chapter 1 and she hasn't yet changed it back from the style she adopted to please him?
Hey guys, sorry if the answer is kinda obvious but i was wondering which version should I start with for this game? There's like then normal one and a remake, but there's also different versions of each.

recommend to start with chapter 1 remake (this is a standalone episode for now, and as the name says it's the expanded remake of the old chapter one of the game). Then play the full game (chapter 1-11).

I expect most people would suggest getting the Subscribe Star remake of chapter one. This will be integrated into the main game, hopefully before the end of the month.
You'll notice that there is a difference between Friends in Need and Friends Indeed, the latter has most of the potentially controversial and dark content removed.

If I were you, I'd just sit tight until Neon is ready with the full chapter 1-10. Sounds like he's still tweaking a few things at the end of Ch 1. It shouldn't be long. I mean, play whatever you want but you may need to start over when the full thing is ready.

Yep. I know this is an elitist point of view to a degree, but most players aren't really all that creative and might not even care that much about quality. Creative artists that strive for quality should have enough confidence to tell an audience 'no' and push through with their labored vision. Good criticism is extremely valuable of course, and it's important for an artist to be willing to grow and adapt, but most players don't give good criticism - they give personal opinions disguised as criticism.

Yeah, for me - I like good stories (movies, novels etc) but because of censors and easily offended puritans when they get to the sex scenes (especially in movies and shows) they half ass it. They have these weird scenes where people literally roll around under the covers (who uses blankets during sex - unless it’s winter in Alaska?) and they have mostly vanilla sex and then half the time they get dressed again before cuddling in bed. I want good stories but with actual somewhat realistic sex scenes - If I just wanted porn, I’d go to a porn site. If I just wanted a good story, I’d read a book or go to a movie. For a good story though - I want (at least mostly) an absence of porn logic. So, I want actual relationship development as opposed to all women love the MC because he exists and has a penis. Unless there’s a good reason for it, I don’t want relationships where women meet him and immediately fall into bed. I’m personally not into NTR which makes harem games difficult for me - there are some ok harem games but having a dozen women who love the MC but are cool with him sleeping with absolutely everyone, although they themselves are content with only being with him and just waiting their turn is weird. (it’s not that there are zero good harem games but you have to be a good storyteller to make that work). Also, ideally, whether it’s a harem game or not if someone is a LI (as opposed to just a prostitute or something) I want her to have her own personality/story/backstory/ideas and for there to be some relationship development between her and MC. Just being attractive and horny isn’t enough - unless it’s just porn and not a story. I know it’s a tall order and that many users on the site don’t care about that stuff, but it’s also why I skip 90% of what shows up on the Recent Updates page without a second glance.
Oh and if we’re calling it a “game” I also want meaningful choices, as opposed to a kinetic novel (or the semi-kinetic stories where you do get some choices, but they don’t really mean much.)
FiN manages to pull off basically all of this. You can have meaningful relationships, or you can have something like a harem but you can’t really have both. Women will put up with it because Guy is wealthy and most, if not all of them need something from him - but again, going the “harem” route means that you don’t really care about any of them very much. There are a lot of choices, and they are definitely meaningful - especially over time.

I just like Nicki exists and I can show her she deserves to be loved by being a Good MC. Same goes for Risa just to a lesser degree if you compare her to Nicki

I'm Nickidoodle's guy and will do anything to make her happy.
I haven't really seen enough of Risa to know if I'd want to make a pt with her, I rarely have many saves.
My porn-rotted brain is curious about his sister, and where their relationship might go.
But the two brain cells that are still relatively untouched, will probably try to convince the rest that what I really want is to repair their relationship, be a good big brother and that her and Nicki should become best friends.
I sometimes despair over those two brain cells

Yeah true really need more time with Risa but idk the drug den update showed me enough about Risa that I really feel for her and if you go all the way with her in the house instead of the motel it feels rather romantic. I just can't help but feel after learning about her she reminds me of Nicki where she feels she isn't loved and probably doesn't deserve it because of a combination of her fuck ups and her father being a controlling pos.
she also feels like a good person even if she went about doing things the wrong way. But the fact she went to the drug den got high after she trying to be better just to help the girls shows she cares. ( Helps one of the choices will lead to her getting rid of the drugs too). Just to try to get the MC to help her deal with Lucius and the other girls. I feel she will do just about anything to help the MC or try to help someone even if does mess up along the way.

i do like that the there is more range to being evil like you can be an legit ass hole but still charismatic and smart to enogh have people still follow you . i do think the full dark side starts off so strong im not sure were its gonna go like dude is borderline a murder hobo and i would not be surprised to just end up getting shot on the street .

Risa's situation really does tug at the White Knight heart strings, doesn't it? And that Lucien guy needs to be put down, one way or the other. I've only played through that part once, so don't remember all the details, but it would be interesting if trying to help Risa is what leads my Good Guy down a darker path. Not towards the girls perhaps, but well - murder. If Lucien has connections high up (through bribes, friendships or blackmail) in a way that ensure he will never be convicted of anything, how far will Guy be willing to go to see 'justice done' and protect his friends and himself?
