The vanilla version is the "clean" version for patreon called friends indeed,
and the regular version is friends in need (where you need the taboo patch to have full access to all the hardcore stuff,more brutal actions,incest fantasies,etc.)

I've just finished playing and I have to admit I had a lot of fun. Well-balanced amount of dialogue and erotic scenes. I like that you can choose if you want to take advantage of them or to just help them. How often are updates? Any ideas how big this game is going to be?
if I recall correctly Neon said he aims for every 4 months. From the updates ive played since discovering this game took me anywhere from 1-3 hours depending the update but I tend to play / read on the slow side of things as I don't do it in 1 go.

Think dev said he could see himself working on it for the next 5 years if that's any indication for the planned size. I believe he said there's maybe 3-4 more chapters and then this first 'season' is over (so 12-13 chapters total here); break; then moving onto the next season, which may or may not have parity with the 1st season in terms of total chapters. No idea how many seasons are planned lol... I'd guess at least 2-3?

it makes sense. but it's only for your own ego and conscience, I think. or at least the character you are playing.
there is still an imbalance either way because if you helped them before engaging in the romance, then there will be gratitude and thankfulness at the start, and because you helped them a lot, those are not insignificant or forgettable. it's not just a random encounter where both are equals. the power dynamic will still be there. whether it's because of big financial difference, or because of prince charming/savior behavior, it's still there.
they would not engage you because they want to insure they get your help, but they would still want to thank you and reward you properly.
either way, MC is still sensible enough to separate actual attraction and feelings from just seduction for help or offering themselves as reward.
but with that concern, i think you would enjoy Ashe's and Gabby's paths, the way they are portrayed remove a lot of what you are focused about here.
in the end, it's still a porn game, so getting to the lewd part of relationships quicker than normal is a given, but everyone plays the game as they see fit. trying to avoid all the sex scenes until the motivation of both parties are satisfactory to you is certainly a valid way to enjoy it.
honestly, I didn't read the first chapter like you. what really bothered me was that Nicki cheated on Brent very easily, even though she is described as very faithful and loyal. Brent is such a shitty boyfriend that if she wasn't super faithful and loyal, that relationship wouldn't have lasted a tenth of what it had.
but in the scene, she does is willingly, she offers it herself. it's not MC that asks. he offers his help for free at first. then she realizes his feelings and her own, and just dives in. she might have been desperate enough to be out of character in that moment when MC fixes her problem, but it's still a big leap to make. but I agree that MC should have at least the chance to refuse the sex. it's also understandable that walking away from the girl that you have loved for many years throwing herself at you is a herculean task. though this game being about choices, it was a little slap in the face of the player to have the choice taken away
Jamie didn't invite his friend to fuck her. it was to watch and record her. it's still very fucked up. boundaries and consent are very flexible concepts to him.
you really like the "i can fix her" or "pretty woman" routes

tldr; Through the first two scenes of the chapter, working on the third. After that's done, I'm basically at the halfway mark for content in this update, after which I'll be moving onto the scenes with Mason/Viola, and Gabby/Madison.
Also! I posted a little photoset for Viola, and I'm running a costume poll for Madison's appearance in Chapter 10.
Madison's black dress has basically run away with the competition, so it's a safe bet that we'll be seeing her in that.
