I'd say Nicki (and her "situation" with MC) is Just too believable to become "perfect fantasy girl", most players consciously or unconsciously seek some complex of qualities in LI rarely can be found in real woman.
So yeah, if You ask Me: Do You want virgin young beautiful girl, in love with You and only You, ready to sacrifice everything for You, girl that Will never cheat on You, will never argue with You cause of lack of money or lack of attention, totally selfless...bla-bla...?
I'll answer: Yeah, sure! Gimme that magic shrums, I want it too!
Edit: Simply said, no pink unicorns involved in relationship with Nicki (even though dev shows her very honest and good person overall, hardly 1/3 of real women there... )

imagine if you've been in love with a girl for the longest time
but she only comes to you and thinks about you when she wants money
and she has no problem being the girlfriend of an asshole
but when it comes to you she needs more time to think about it

but still, I would give her a chance if she keeps using me kick her to the Curve
and about the patch wouldn't it make more sense to kick her out the second time she comes to you for help not the first

I agree with this 100%. I don't personally go for stories that make me roll my eyes as much as that one did. None of the interactions between any of the characters felt genuine, they sounded like they were written for a highschool sex-ed class video about how to have a healthy relationship by talking through everything and making sure everyone's on the same page. It's not a bad theoretical ideal of communication, but it comes across as incredibly forced and unrealistic when depicted as "real" people behaving that way.Yeah, that's basically almost exactly how I feel... just sugary anime style harem power fantasy. Which, again, not trying to insult people who are into that, it's a good game if you like that kind of stuff; I played through all of it and it definitely had its moments. But, I prefer more grounding and realism in my games for the most part. Even in fantasy/sci-fi settings etc., I appreciate when people behave like real people (with some unavoidable porn game exceptions lol). In WVM, the characters feel less like fully (or even partially) realized people and more like tropes or props that serve the MC's fantasies, which is ironic to me given that the MC is written to go out of his way to sympathize and "check in" with everyoneA lot of effort went into writing him as the "nice guy" with a hero complex that everyone is obsessed with, for some reason.

I can't believe that - given the existence and nature of the Anti-nikki patch - anybody took my sarcastic comment about a Mason dickgirl patch seriously. I am delighted that they did, though.

I personally doubted the feasability. Patches usually alter scripted texts or transictions sequences, but assing a penis would mean to redo the frames with 3D models that are not public. Or eventually draw over a penis with Windows Paint, i guess

Hoo boy. I need a mental cleansing after degrading Mason like that. Here's hoping the nice path is sweet enough to make up for the dirty feeling I currently have.

that's a really good way to put it... I never thought of it that way, but it does feel like that, doesn't it? That kind of modern, fake bent to "healthy relationship" stuff... I mean, the idea is good, but a lot of its proponents go too far to a silly level. Like those weirdos at certain colleges who want you to get written consent for every random fling... my god, no one needs written consent as long as you have a functioning brain and conscience (which is almost 100% people as much as everyone likes to joke about it), no need to reinvent a worse wheel Anyways, that was fun lol... it's hard to get my negative views on games out because I'm not the kind of person who goes trolling in the dev's forum just to bitch and moan about their game, that does nothing for a dev in almost all cases except make them feel like crap and annoy their fans.Anyways, the public leecher release of the new FiN update is almost upon us... I'm very, very excited
Speaking of Mason, I haven't played the update ofc, so I'm not entirely sure how the character plays out... but I wonder if we'll get to roleplay some daddy-son stuff at some future point... even in a non-sexual, wholesome way... at least so I can refer to him as Mah-Son...

BlackHandGames has kindly provided me with his code to add named save files to FiN, which has been a constant request, and Uriel ☁ sent me some very cool stuff for a potential gallery and character bio add-on. So, I look forward to adding some extra functionality to the game, thanks to the generosity of these dudes.
And I’ve finally got my SubscribeStar page verified, and I just need to populate it with some content. Not linking to it yet, but I’ll have it all set up by this weekend. So, lots of big things happening.
I know right? I did my dirtbag path through that scene, and afterwards when he was like "can you treat me like a boy at least when we're not having sex?" I instantly was like "yes, definitely" because even on my dirtbag path I couldn't bring myself to degrade him that much.
