Depending on how that "friend" path goes I might take you up on your offer. Hopefully the dev understands that the people choosing that option don't want to have much interaction with her. Or else why bother to do the extra effort of implementing that path. We'll see. As long as she is just around as a background character and only appears when it is necessary to the story, it should be all right.

I can agree with the latter part of this. As for being the best... That would be Gabby. Nicki is the best as a sister/friend character though and I wouldn't turn my back on her.

But yes, if all the romantic and sexual stuff regarding her is removed then she would just be like any annoying friend in any other VN and that would be tolerable.

It's not getting removed, the stuff at the start of the game is getting reworked and it will be made optional from the start, but she will still be an LI, and everything past the beginning of the game will remain the same. Just don't go on her path, the dev isn't going to remove a LI's content completely for YOUR sake.

My top 3 are Ashe, Nicki, and Gabby (Probably in that order, though it tends to change around sometimes), as far as the other LI's I don't really hate any of them, but as long as I have those 3 I don't really need anyone else. (Though I am quite interested to see where the Carolina stuff goes, she's also great.)

Edit: Oh and I also wanna give a shoutout to Mason and Brittani, I also really like them, I think they both have potential to move up my rankings as well, there's just not enough with either of them yet.

Maybe you should have added that additional context then, you never mentioned "in the friend path", nor did the post you directly replied to.
It's still not being "removed" though, an additional early game path is being added that is void of her sexual/romantic content.
