I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, but I also think people put too much blame on the parents. Afaik, a child's personality, while obviously affected by their home environment, is also pretty genetic. So, you could be the best parent on the planet and still end up with a pos.No worries. I'm sure they did. The wrong things. Kids learn more by seeing than teaching. You can tell them what's good and bad, but if your actions don't match up with your words, they don't mean shit.
Also, I think there has been a large body of research that basically shows that peer groups and I guess society at large have far more influence on how your child turns out than the parents themselves. That's always made me raise an eyebrow, but I've heard multiple scientists that I respect refer to that research, so... they must be pretty strong cases. I'm not smart enough to look at the data and judge it for myself.
