no cause if you do the dark path option when she is babysitting you do when a kid is a around ( in another room) at least as far as I can remember, and that's her last straw and it's to far for her. now with that being said I don't know if the dark path when she is babysitting will always trigger in her leaving like it does with Viola or if it only happens if you have been rough , assaulted / raped her in the past.

I do that in my dreams every night along with a few other select LI that I think about too much lol. Also when in the shower I imagine myself being with some of these LI and Nicki comes to my mind often

eh I think she is clean unless Brent had something when they were together. Since she ran from the the porn shoot and her sugar daddy or w/e never slept with her just wanted to control and humiliate her. Unless she lied but I dont think she did

Messing with Nikki as dark guy was a lot of fun, especially making her do that shoot with Brittani. Shame her dark route ended so early. I can't say I care much for her good guy route. She doesn't feel like girlfriend material. She's that girl you keep at arms length and occasionally hook up with

- But it's the opposite for me Ashe , Nicki, and Carolina are who I consider girlfriend / wife material
- While Brittani , Risa and probably Pepper id say be more suited as friends with benefits
- Mason and Gabby are friend zone for me
- Everyone else I need more content to form an opinion well

My pick for corruption path would be Viola, who is also my favourite character in the game (alongside Brittani). She invokes a strong desire to protect her from the world with how innocent and sweet she is, like she's a precious flower, and so slowly corrupting her could be quite a treat from a sadistic point of view. Since the story involves drugs, maybe Guy could set up his own little drug empire as means to control the girls, who he will hook up on that stuff, and Viola could oversee the operation and slowly turn into Ma-ma from Dredd (2012). Now that's some character ark!
Of course, it's just a fanfiction, but hey, it's nice to speculate.
All of these, plus:
* Guy feels like an actual competent adult. I've come across at least a few VNs where the MC is an "adult", but feels like a teen or something..
* Guy isn't purely a vehicle for power fantasy. I mean, obviously there's power fantasy stuff, especially with 2 of the routes. But, the amount of people that got pissed at Guy losing a fight against a young guy and then running away from a hobo with a knife is hilarious. That shit's real, and also is the author telling us that the player isn't invulnerable and that his world WILL have consequences.
* The LIs are written as characters with their own feelings & desires rather than as lust ornaments for the player's fantasies.
* And finally, the dialogue is great! No awkward phrasing or words that no one ever uses in RL like "musn't" or w/e. Seriously, I've come across like THREE whole games where the characters use "musn't" and they weren't period pieces or nobles or anything! What is going on!? Do Brits use that contraction or something?

All really good points I'll add to that with my opinion that the game doesn't feel too porny like a lot of the stuff on here does.
I have said it before, but I would play this without sex scenes, and I can't say that for more than a dozen games.

Preach it brother, this game/story is easily one of my favorites. The dialogue/writing is definitely top tier, other devs/writers could learn a thing or two from FiN.
Basically, every character has their own unique breaking point on the dark route. For Viola, she will leave after the first incident forever, for example. For Nicki, she will take more shit from the MC, but if he doesn't relent, she will leave as well. The last dark scene before she leaves is MC forcing himself onto her while a kid she's babysitting is in the next room.
Mega is simply a website to download from, nothing to do with vanilla version (Friends Indeed) vs normal version (Friends in Need). So, unless there's confusion, make sure you have the Friends in Need normal version. If you have the right version, make sure the patch.rpy is in your Friends-In-Need/Game directory and start a fresh new playthrough; if you activated the patch in the middle of a game, it won't work. If you can assault Nicki in the beginning, it's activated.
If it still doesn't work after all that, then you might need to delete the persistent files. Could back them up just in case, but I don't know if that's necessary. I don't know where they are on other devices, but on Windows:
-> where ever your game is installed \FriendsInNeed-#.#\game\saves
delete the file named 'persistent'
-> C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\FriendsinNeed2-1641753492
delete another 'persistent' file
-> C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\FriendsinNeed2-1641753492\sync
not sure why there's yet another 'persistent' file here, but delete that one for good measure

The author was originally splitting some chapters into parts, but then decided it was better to just separate each major update into its own chapter to better communicate the progress of content in his game.

We musn't talk bad about contractions...
but really, those are the same reason I really enjoy this game, just enough realism to it...and the writing is above the average we see.
