so there is no new story progression....right?? this seems an update put out to avoid Abandoned tag to me if there is no new contents
You’re right, I just put out a chapter in November, took an unpaid break in December, wrote 60% of Chapter 1’s remake in January, released a 138 image teaser for Chapter 11 in January, update my blogs twice a week, and will be putting out a Chapter 1 teaser later this month with a minimum of 300 images.so there is no new story progression....right?? this seems an update put out to avoid Abandoned tag to me if there is no new contents
I borderline hope it is. I like my slice-of-life-ish with "bits of plot". This seems like it'd need some sort of hardcore, tense plot development to resolve. No one said its non canon.
yep seems like dev is remaking chapter 1 you know what that means dead gameso there is no new story progression....right?? this seems an update put out to avoid Abandoned tag to me if there is no new contents
The dev is also working on the next chapter of the story, but let's not have facts get in a way of a good hysteria.yep seems like dev is remaking chapter 1 you know what that means dead game
Ah just reapplied the patch and started a new game and taboo options are there. Maybe doesn't work from a saved gameYep same - not working for me either
Bcoz I sed.Abandoned tag, for what?![]()
I realized that if you delete your %appdata% and redownload with put in the patch before your first playthru it worksAh just reapplied the patch and started a new game and taboo options are there. Maybe doesn't work from a saved game
Honestly I understand why he made the claim since other devs have done it to avoid getting the abandoned tag which makes it harder for any other devs who just wanted to add something unique while they are still working on the main game. I like the occassional special little projects you put out because they expand the lore without it being tied to the MC. In reference to the Chapter 1 remake it's been an unfortunate pattern that when a Dev decides to do a Ch. 1 remake they then drag it out for ages. However from watching your work and the progress reports you are not one of those devs who would do a rewrite and then drag it out. I look forward to the result. You’re right, I just put out a chapter in November, took an unpaid break in December, wrote 60% of Chapter 1’s remake in January, released a 138 image teaser for Chapter 11 in January, update my blogs twice a week, and will be putting out a Chapter 1 teaser later this month with a minimum of 300 images.
But, my devious plan to avoid the dreaded Abandoned tag on a pirate forum? Create a mini-game and give it away for free! I’m goddamn diabolical!
People have a bad habit of following games in development, and then losing their shit when they don't just come out. This forum is full of people who should only ever play/interact with stuff that's marked with complete, but for whatever reason they are incapable of doing that. Games development even for huge studios with 100s if not thousands of devs is rife with failures and things that die just at the finish line, and the ones that do make it to market quite often took significantly longer to make than originally prognosticated. It's an incredibly tumultuous industry even when everything isn't hinging on the health and mental well being of a single individual... and folks here want it to function like an automated factory where every thing is automated and things are redundant in triplicate so there's never any delays or setbacks, or changes that require reworking.... it's the height of entitled foolishness.Honestly I understand why he made the claim since other devs have done it to avoid getting the abandoned tag which makes it harder for any other devs who just wanted to add something unique while they are still working on the main game. Reading about your malicious plans reminded me of something I wanted to ask you:But, my devious plan to avoid the dreaded Abandoned tag on a pirate forum? Create a mini-game and give it away for free! I’m goddamn diabolical!
Pretty sure there was zero risk of an abandoned tag anyway. As I understand it - taking awhile between updates does not trigger anything (Otherwise Being a Dik and Eternum would have gotten the tag) - It's when you've also been silent on Patreon, and Itch, and Steam, and here (so they can't just ask you what's up) that you're at risk of an abandoned tag.Honestly I understand why he made the claim since other devs have done it to avoid getting the abandoned tag which makes it harder for any other devs who just wanted to add something unique while they are still working on the main game. To be exact, even if the dev is communicating on public channels, if they don't have an update for extremely long time (18+ months or so) the game gets abandoned tag eventually. But few games in active development get past this threshold.Pretty sure there was zero risk of an abandoned tag anyway.
