I just finished v0.4.

Biggest surprise of the year for me really. I expected totally nothing from this one, I was very skeptical seeing one guy and thirteen girls as a game banner but yeah, don't judge the book by its cover.

If I would have to comment that with one sentence it would be like it is one of the most real and natural AVN out there. For the entire game not even for a second I felt that it is just some another forced written fake shit story only to cover background for sex scenes. I'm deeply impressed by the level of dialogues and characters. Each of them is SO UNIQUE that I can really feel them, the emotions there are so true...

Before I started, I saw there is patch to get rid of Nicki which I didn't understand back then but now... WTF is wrong with you people? How can you get rid of the only friend you got who is loyal to you and tries to seek for your help when being hopeless even after you raped her? How deep in shit she is to ask for your help even after all what happen and you just want to throw her out? Damn. And NeonGhosts wow, the rapes in this games are really sick... I will not say that they feel real because I have no idea although they kinda seems like they could.

Characters... Wow, Ashe, her parents, Carolina with her daughter, Gabby being just a teenager, Madison, even Brittani is not just a dumb bimbo but quite interesting character. All these and the ones I didn't mention made me feel like it is not a game at all but a really great real life story with real characters. It takes a lot of skill and talent to be able to write story, narration, dialogues and characters that good, it is like an interactive book, AMAZING job.

I could just write a lot more how awesome that one is but I guess I made my point. Looking forward for the next updates!

ps. I hate you NeonGhosts for how perfect LI you made Ashe. I guess I would prefer Caroline but there is absolutely not a single thing I could blame Ashe for to get rid of her.

I could not agree more the characters is what makes this game so good not the overall plot I heard that Nicki removal mod was a joke / troll not sure if that is true or not but i refuse to try it out as I'm on Team Nicki she is easily the best character for me.

It is so hard to write good characters, it is even harder to write great dialogues for them but it is almost impossible for 99% of the games here to put it all together to make you feel it is not forced. Each character has it's own approach for example, god how many games are out there that would allow you to just put some cheap lines to Caroline and make her let you fuck? Not here, she is mother above all and you can feel it here, make Maya like you is the way to go. Ashe? MC's first though is "bimbo" and after a while you see how complex and smart she actually is. Meeting her parents made me flashbacks lol, I guess I'm not the only one here. Madison didn't hop on MC's dick when she could, she is loyal to her husband and you can see that from the start, not even a single hint that she would do anything with you. Gabby and her teenage mind, Brittani similar to Ashe and actually more complex and way smarter that she looks like, still a mysterious Pepper, Wren, damn even Lisa feels like there is something more in her character than just silly sugar daddy's girl.

The thing is NeonGhosts did not go with the obvious and repeatable path of creating AVN characters (one jester male friend and couple girls with one/two obvious traits like sweet/silly, rebellious, dumb, the smartest etc...) but made them more real-like, more complex. Although, thinking about that now, I say it with every AVN, it would be great to see some good written male friends/characters to maybe even compete with them for the girl we both want.

You have to ride line of being nice to her or she gets pissed off and the dialogue chain drops to the angry blowjob/assault choice.

I didn't make it very far into this one, but I wanted to ask why this game has such a high rating? Does the quality just drastically improve at some point? The early sections were really not engaging me at all. I read through the reviews and I just don't understand the disconnect between what I read and what I was playing. Thanks in advance.

If you enjoy games where the MC has a lot of power over a number of women, this hits the mark strongly. It's not really a Harem game, so much as he gets a shot at almost every woman he meets. Also, there is a patch that allows for significantly darker content. If you like dark content, that's a must.

I wouldn't say she's 100% honest about it. She still tries to frame it around Brent but there's a very overt disparity between Brent's plan and Nicki's actions.

You put that into better words than I ever could but yeah that is 100% the reason why this game is so good. But yeah this game does have something I do wish more avn games would have and that is to have a LI that you actually get get to know / they have some resistance before you get to fuck them . Even the ones that are easy to fuck in this one still have more character than ones from other games.

It probably is. I don't use Joiplay and I have no idea what renpy version it uses since from this it seems it does not use the one bundled with the game or how it reacts to changes the mod needs. You can try to extract this file over the installed mod and overwrite which should fix the original error but there will almost certainly be others even if the gallery can be run.

Mason is a well rounded character on top of a rarity in this medium. Not in my top but I can appreciate a job well done.
Now while is true that most trans/dickgirls in fiction are portrayed with a beauty canon in mind, that doesn't mean that all the real ones are ugly or whatever. There are beautiful trans women in movies, modeling and so on, but if you as a dev want to portray an unconventional beauty that's fine too.

Yeah, I know it's a dead topic including a MtF character and isn't going to happen, but considering how artistic license and porn VN logic is allowed in other ways for other characters in this game, I don't see why it would be so unlikely to come across a magical specimen of transgirl that was born lucky and started transitioning early (examples of former point: Ashe hip-to-waist ratio; Ashe's father's size; certain girl's personalities that perfectly match what we men, and lesbians , want from a woman; Guy having multiple orgasms in short amount of time in a few scenes; and so on and so forth). Since discovering transgirl porn, I have found a pretty decent handful who just stand out in terms of their face/body. Yeah, if you really look closely, you can see some masculine things here and there... maybe shoulders and hip-to-waist still isn't ideal, blah blah, but they look pretty damn convincing.

Though, honestly, even if we were given a non-fantasy version, you could still make them hot with flattering angles. After all, I think most trans girls in porn almost 100% rely on that to maintain the fantasy. So, may as well do that in the VN too, right? I mean, why not? And I agree that you don't have to focus on absolutely every 'ugly' or unflattering aspect of a transwoman's life. Maybe once you get pretty far on their romance path? That would honestly be a good opportunity to learn what transwomen go through and could actually be very enlightening for those of us who know nothing and purely know them from a masturbatory/fantasy perspective. Hell, could even start showing less flattering images of the character as you get deeper into their romance path, sort of a symbolic way of transitioning from the fantasy to the reality. It could be very artistic and eye-opening (heart-breaking too; I feel so sorry for trans people and their dilemma, especially mtf who have a harder time passing).

Chapter 1 is definitely rougher than later chapters. And, imo, Chapter 3 is when it really starts to pick up in a good way (obviously chp 2 is still fantastic and is the chp where I decided I loved the game). If you still hate in chp 2 and especially chp 3, obviously it's just not for you. Personally, I can't wrap my head around anyone hating this perfect gem.

Yeah, 100% man. It's super easy for anyone to write surface-level stereotypes for the nth time and it gets old extremely fast; I can't get off to that shit. Some writers, I think you can tell they aren't very experienced and if they have to go through that stage to get better, I wish them luck. But others I think the case is that they aren't very dedicated to quality and just don't ultimately care very much in the end. They aren't in it for the long-haul and it's probably a fun little project for them that they'll abandon after a few chapters at most... unless of course they start making good money lol.

So I finally completed my playthrough of the chapter. My saves were gone because something happened when I upgraded my storage so I started all over from the beginning. It was everything an Ashe fan like myself could've asked for but ... I am a deeply flawed human. Here I am, drowning in 90% Ashe and a little bit of Viola but playing through the game from the beginning again made me like the other characters even more. Now I'm just thinking about Gabby, Pepper, Brittani, Viola (as a maid), and Risa.

All I can say is that it's a damn good thing Neon is working on these characters on a big cycle and that it coincidentally syncs up to my flippant preferences.
