So I finally completed my playthrough of the chapter. My saves were gone because something happened when I upgraded my storage so I started all over from the beginning. It was everything an Ashe fan like myself could've asked for but ... I am a deeply flawed human. Here I am, drowning in 90% Ashe and a little bit of Viola but playing through the game from the beginning again made me like the other characters even more. Now I'm just thinking about Gabby, Pepper, Brittani, Viola (as a maid), and Risa.

All I can say is that it's a damn good thing Neon is working on these characters on a big cycle and that it coincidentally syncs up to my flippant preferences.

I'll always be a Nicki fan first but yeah I like Ashe alot 2 probably second best character for me personally. Pepper, Brittani, Viola are pretty good as well but I think they need more updates to get on the same level as the other character but still good for what we do know about them. Only reason I don't include Gabby in that while she is really good character probably same quality as Ashe or Nicki I don't intent to do any of the lewd stuff with her as I'm not interested in her beyond her character development, so she is stuck in the friend zone for me.

EDIT: For anyone reading this, the Nicki patch was just a little joke I put out to play with the fans here. Be aware that installing it will revert your game back to version .375, so if you really want to see it, install it in a back-up copy of the game.

Well, gang.. Here it is. People have asked for it. Screamed for it. I've gotten private messages raking me over the coals, people pledging to never play the game again, and a smattering of poor reviews. I know when to admit I'm wrong.

So, here is.. . If you install this patch into your main FiN folder and allow it to merge with the existing "game" folder, it will overwrite existing script script files, and add new images to support a new path. With this path, you can choose to excise Nicki entirely from the story.

Just start from the beginning and, when you get to the choice to help her or not, choose "Tell her to fuck off."

It probably is. I don't use Joiplay and I have no idea what renpy version it uses since from this it seems it does not use the one bundled with the game or how it reacts to changes the mod needs. You can try to extract this file over the installed mod and overwrite which should fix the original error but there will almost certainly be others even if the gallery can be run.

I played the dark path after beating the game without the patch ( didn't know about on my first playthrough) and only watched the first time your assaulted Nicki after that I kinda just skipped through as I wanted to see if there was any consequence yet for doing that with the other girls. Felt too bad doing it as the MC but if was some NTR guy doing I ironically probally wont skip those scenes.

Seems like it's subject to the same WEIRD problem a lot of psych studies are, so not great as a representative for women as a whole, but in at least undergrads there is a bit of something there maybe.

Keep in mind it's pretty much always self reporting surveys(that is they're asked a question about themselves and expected to give an honest answer), and that's always been suspect. So the truth is unless we interrogate them under a brain scan, or have an exact copy of their minds that we can examine in depth at our leisure (a black mirror-horror story right there), we are relying on people to be forthcoming with things they've trained themselves to deny to the point where they lie to themselves about it.
That isn't to say it's completely invalid, as it's practically all we have at the moment and it can help inform predictive models that work within reasonable margins of error, but conversely that is to say I suspect there are a greater measure of us who like terrible things than we will ever admit, and that denial is just part of the veneer of us being civilized. Which is a good thing.
Meanwhile, Stephen King has a short essay about why people like horror (movies), about feeding the 'gators. I think it's appropriate, and particularly applicable to porn games. Certain taboos and 'kinks' that are deliberately left as fantasy because the consequences of it in life is messy and not as pleasant... The fictions allow us to explore the thrill of the power dynamics, or even just because it lets us feel more in control of ourselves. Or even just is exciting on it's face.
On a personal note, I greatly enjoy the sweeter, kinder, more noble options in this game expressly because the darker options exist as valid options. It's not an illusion of choice, it's a deliberate choice to be good when doing a more selfish and cruel act is every bit as rewarding, or more so in some cases.

I doubt I’ll include a FtM love interest, honestly. It’s just not really my thing, and as a result I think I’d do it badly.

I’d previously floated a design for a trans girl, and by the responses it was clear I missed the mark of what people want from that particular addition. The vibe I got was that people want the fantasy of an extremely perfect and cute girl who just happens to have a cute dick.

But if I was going to do it, I’d want to be honest about it, and it’d be informed by the experiences of my trans friends. Stuff like failing to pass due to height, having numerous electrolysis appointments to remove stubborn facial hair, dealing with mood swings and acne as a result of taking hormones.. Not all the fun fantasy stuff people want.

Maybe if I ever do an anime-style game. I did enjoy Bible Black, back in the day.

That's a fair assessment. With a lot of things happening in a trans woman's life, it'll bring no justice to represent them only as a fetish icon. Just like Mason's past assault that left him with brain damage, I believe you want something similar that will struck a chord. Take it slowly and deeply, mate. Make a story that will make a simple hug an actual heartfelt expression.

But imagine a scenario where MC meet the meanest jock in his old highschool who is now a woman. You can dig a lot out of that scenario about masculinity, insecurity, denial, acceptance, and even a cry for help.
