Completely valid. I could see how a lot of that content could evoke strong responses. But (and I can't stress this enough) i'm mostly just voicing my perspective in response to yours, not trying to down play yours at all.
It seems most often that there just exists content in games as a false choice, where no matter what you pick everything goes completely to the same place. But here for instance being awful to one character on your first meeting makes it so a later meeting she just isn't there, or less bad means she's just not super trusting of you in that moment. Which doesn't seem to be a big deal maybe, but at the very least meant to me that it had impact. I don't know where all paths lead, but it does feel like the choice matters because it does have weight beyond "no sexual interest, so this person fades into the background" that it seems like all the other games I can think of easily have.

Like mason is a great example, I want to be a supportive friend to him, and help him get back onto his own. Nothing more than that. But the cuddle option was kind of amazing, and after seeing the wig scene, i definitely want to make sure to give him all the cuddles. And that (if memory serves) was one of the least awful dark path parts. ... Though I have to admit i kind of really liked peppers negotiation and the subsequent payoff. I fear I might have to have a save just to see how that ultimately plays out.

Nah, but honestly, I really like variety and I adore all the routes, every single one, for their own reasons.

The romance route gives the best wholesome erections and satisfactory story developments without a single tinge of guilt, yet you can still have kinky fun.

The corruption route (admittedly haven't played fully yet, but seen tid bits) satisfies the most selfish & lustful side of you where you don't wanna be horribly cruel or do anything super illegal, but you also don't feel like going through all the effort of courting these hoes.

And then the dark route lets you play with some of the darkest sexual fantasies that are extremely uncommon in VNs and usually extremely poorly written when they are encountered. It's completely normal of course to be infinitely put off by the dark route, but damn, I don't see how any non-con enjoyer could put any other game ahead of this one. It's what I've been seeking for a few years but could never find, so even if the dark route concludes earlier than the rest, I'm glad I have a game to come back to every few years or so when I'm jonesing for that kind of content.
