I fucking hate weebs, man. I hate that weeb-style of writing the most. It's just you know ... there aren't that many good writers developing VNs so I'll take what I can get. Stuff like Friends in Need are just something I put in a different echelon entirely. It's apples and oranges. You can expect good writing from stuff like this, everything else well ... it'd be great if the grammar was at least alright. :ROFLMAO:

Writing is a major factor, I feel like the importance of this gets downplayed too often. I have had the exact same experience many times, game looks good graphically but then the writing destroys the experience lol.

I'm still salty over stray incubus suddenly making all the naive cute LIs go AHHH I WANNA BE YOUR CUM SLUT CUM CUM CUM GIVE ME YOUR CUM - like dude you fucking ruined it spectacularly with that BS.

There are also a lot of games where the girls are almost instantly jumping on the MC's dick and saying the dumbest shit, basically because the dev is lazy and/or has zero experience with women.

Friends in Need actually has some pretty legit characters that are shockingly like real life people...

That's something I really love about the game.
The writing is some of the best I have ever seen in these games.

I guess we'll see what Neon feels like. Pretty sure he purposefully didn't reveal how many pills were left, so Ashe's could've been the first and last one, or there could be 1 more, 3 more, w/e. It can go too far as with everything else, so I doubt Neon will overdo it, but they make for.. 'fun' scenes imo where things can get.. 'creative', let's say :whistle: I'm literally pleased with whatever I get though as long as quality reasonably maintains :giggle:

I mean look at what they have teased about the next update, it doesn't really scream "Will have an extended scene of Guy "date raping" someone.... especially considering from a story perspective it pretty much has to be done at his apartment because otherwise it just adds more choices.

It's not about "overdoing" a story beat/lewd scene setup the issue is a "amount of work issue". If Guy uses it on 1 other person it goes from having 3 choices/paths (don't take, take but don't use, take and use) into 6 (don't take, take but didn't use on ashe, took and used on ashe, took and used on ashe but didn't use on the next person, took and used on ashe as well as the next person) some of them would just be small text tweaks but others would likely require "good Guy" scenes as an alternative (unless this game is suddenly going to get largely good/or Bad Guy focused updates instead of the balance we get now).

Edit: Mason (someone vulnerable from a story perspective) would make the problem even worse as you have all the previous choices and then variants for (no lewd before, lewd but "nice/friendly", lewd and rude) :KEK:

Well, the pills were found far before we actually got a chance to use them on Ashe, so upcoming update isn't really a good indicator. You're right the pill decision branching gets exponential, but the entire game is basically that, I mean the ending to this thing is going to be a god damned coding knot of epic proportion lol

So, like I said, I think it just comes down to whether Neon feels like doing it or not. I hope he does, as it's a different dark vibe compared to, for example, the alley scene. But if not, that's cool too; I enjoyed what I got when I got it :) He can always just do something along the same line, i.e. too drunk. I'd be shocked if that wasn't planned for at least one of the younger LIs, Cassie, Gabby, Brit, etc.

I agree that id be surprised if there wasn't a similar scene but I doubt it revolve around the pill bottle, i mean helll Guy is getting ready to potentially confront a drug dealer that seems like an easy opportunity to have him get as many drugs he wants for sexual assault:HideThePain:
