Hey, hey folks! Hope your week's off to a great start.
I fell a little short of my goal of having 210 renders for Chapter 1, and currently have 187 complete. That number can always shift a little during the process of plugging them into the script, with certain images getting tossed because I realize they're not needed. But, that's where the raw number stands at the moment.
I'm still having a lot of fun with this whole process of redoing Chapter 1, and I really think the whole game will ultimately benefit from it. Gone is the awkward exposition dump that basically catapulted us into the meat of the story. Now we really get to spend some time with our hard-luck hero, before his life changed forever. Not too much, mind you.. But, enough that it helps us to appreciate how much his life changes in an instant.
So, big thanks to everyone for indulging me while I tidy things up. Hopefully, you'll all find it well worth it.
Besides the Chapter 1 remake, I don't have too much to talk about, today. But, this weekend you can look forward to a long-delayed surprise, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Since the players will see a flashback about how everything came to be, it does make one wonder if Melvin aka the boss will be seen. The protagonist said he wasn't going to burn bridges with him after he helped him out before he became rich (and I could be wrong but the protagonist was considering to buy the store where he previously worked. He did purchased the one where Callie currently works and had that meeting with Brittani and her mother). Can't wait to see the upcoming chapter.

Are gallery features planned for the base game? I noticed the person who's been modding it hasn't updated their mod for the latest game update. And it's a pain to juggle save states.

One of my patrons has actually been working on something for this, building on the work of an f95 member. But, the difficulty is that each scene has so many variations just based on variables/values that a traditional, main menu-launched gallery with playable scenes, is kind of difficult. So, the options at this point seem to be a gallery that launches to only one particular variation of a scene, or an option to choose, broadly, the nature of the scene, which would then still be sans certain customizations.

The other option is to have a gallery within a save file, where you can jump back to scenes you've played. But, at that point it seems like.. Why not just have save files for those scenes?

So, it remains a sticky wicket for the moment. I'd like to launch the Chapter One remake with some kind of gallery function in place. But, exactly what that might look like is still up in the air.

Your headcanon's as valid as mine! Like I said, I play pretty loose with it. Maybe instead of arriving in the city and working for a few years to build a nest egg, he left home with some money he'd saved, sunk it all into crypto, and then ten years later he's a burnt-out 30 year-old with more mileage on his body than most in his age group.

The important thing isn't really how old he was when he left, or how old he is now. What's important is that he left home young and full of fire, and years of hardship broke him down -- until he gets a second chance at life.

This is the same as when people get really hung up on the exact figure of his wealth. A lot of people obsess over it, like -- "Well, if he had $26,000,000 in crypto, after taxes, platform fees, and the devaluation of his meme coin as he exited with most of the liquidity, he'd really only have *wet fart sound!*" The exact number doesn't matter.

How rich is Guy? Wealthier than everyone he knows, except Carl Rhodenbarr.

How old is Guy? Appreciably older than Gabby, a bit older than Nicki, and roughly the same age as (or younger than) Madison.

That's the way it goes. If I play a harem game, there'll only be one Li I like. If I play a non-harem game, there will be 4 or 5, or in this case all of them. I seriously can't think of another game with so many good Lis.

haha for me I say I usually end up liking about 80% of the LI in most games I play very few I end disliking alot of them
