Okay this remaster of the first chapter is awful, Neon made me actually like Nicki from the beginning and now I feel like a complete asshole when I do the awful things to her that I always do 
Seriously the difference between the original chapter 1 and the remaster is huge, where in the original version I didn't even blink when I selected the Dark option I now have to force myself to do that
And how is a man supposed to play as a complete asshole now?

For the dark path, you need to download Chapter 1 Remake (Subsribestar Version) and apply the Taboo Content Patch.

I actually can't. Seen some of the scenes, don't care for them. I really don't enjoy those sort of situations. I much prefer the wholesome ones.
What makes me sad is that this was one of my favorite games, and now with this restructuring, remake, it takes us two years to know how everything goes. The preview last update was little and nothing.

I loved the remake It was so good. I really like the new girl that owns that convenient store. . But man it made Nicki such a better character now I think she might have to go in a higher spot in my top 10 list now or on it I forget where I ranked her before. I can't wait for more Nicki now and now im back to being conflicted her old look with no tattoo's or her new look. Cause she looks so good in the rework don't know what version I like more anymore.
I especially loved how wholesome Nicki was and how she really feels like a friend. Also her showing up in that dress feels way better than previously. My favorite part is she never asked for money at least on the romantic path unsure about the others.
I hate to say it but if each chapter was reworked with better character deveolopment like this I actually wouldn't mind a full rework / remake of the game. ( i'm not asking for this just saying if it was done with the same quality I wouldn't mind)

It's a really good rework, and I agree with pretty much everything you say. Even that deranged bit at the end about reworking the whole thing
I love Nicki to bits, sweet, fun, pretty and a friend.
I don't really have a top ten list of favourite LIs, but if I did, she would be at the top. Layla (from Intertwined) may be prettier, but Nicki is definitely smarter (poor choices notwithstanding) and funnier.

She is, Layla just ticks a lot of my boxes. But it's close, going by looks only.
I think Layla is a great gf, where Nicki is a great gf who is also a great friend. If I can even make that distinction.
Anyway both are great characters and written well, but Nicki is way more interesting as a person. By far.
But I'm really eager for the next update for FiN now.
I think pacing wise the new chapter one is better, but the full dark path is wanted.
I also like how this version has the option to avoid sex with Nicki in the beginning, kinda like with Ashe. The dream scenario is a saint/blackmail/dark option for all the ladies and one guy.

True. I don't really care all that much about the other girls, other than helping them - no strings attached. A couple tempt me, but for a main, head canon pt, its Nicki all the way.yep, can't wait to see more of Nickidoodle

before the ch 1 remake I keep jumping between Nicki , Risa and Ashe as my favorites. But I think Nicki is far head now at least until we get a good update for Ashe and Risa then things might change again but I don't think they will.

I played the Ashe route not too long ago, she is a very close second. Good back-story, cute as fuck, and so on. Also her sex scenes are just great (not the rapey ones, wish I could forget those, regret watching them)

I like several of the other girls, but I liked Nicki the best from the start.
I mentioned once to a friend that I felt bad about cheating on my main LI in games like this (half jokingly). The cruel woman laughed at me, but thought it was cute. I can live with that.
But I do tend not to sleep around all that much in these games, or even do many paths, unless it's a pure harem game.
