I do sometimes wonder why dark path Guy isn't hurting men too. I mean, he has all this anger and hate, but he focuses it on women.

Because there's like, two guys in the game and one of them has skipped town.

Also, he can be asshole to Mason, does that count as hurting a guy?

Maybe we'll see more of it with the appearance of that police detective, and the husband you free from the jail, and Risa's father and the big bad. But i wouldn't really count all that much on it, because ultimately this is a porn game and the players are primarily in it to see some sexy times with girls instead of dudes getting all involved in dick measuring contests.

It is always easier and more cowardly for the charming,
low-powered murderers in the world to take out their hatred and rage on woman,
just look at all the big serial killers (Bundy,Gacy,Dahmer..)

But as soon as they come up against the real big guys,
they are immediately murdered in the most gruesome way,

Only time when hes mean is when he gets off on it otherwise hes fairly normal. The worst he had was where those influencers were messing with them and hes not going to do things with an audience.

If the Dark Path in the remake is at least as dark as the original, I will love it. I shall wait until the game is at least as far as the original, just in case the dev decides to reboot it again.

I love NTR, but imo corruption/(extreme) domination is better.

Yesss, this was kinda the big bit of connective tissue I wanted to add between Chapters 1 and 2. For Friends in Need it's liiiike 350+ images, which I did over the course of a month. Basically shows how Guy became the person he is, by the time he winds up in the bar where he meets Ashe. Also gives you a little extra context for his relationship with his actress friend Marina, and the Chens.

I tried being mean to Ashe while being kind to everyone else. I kept going until her "date", and during the scene where Guy picked up Viola at the bus stop and dropped her off (treating her kindly the whole time) I noticed the expression on Ashe's face. That silent question, "Why me?", and the Guy’s internal monologue revealing how she couldn't understand why I was nice to everyone but her... it really got to me. I couldn't continue. I guess I'm just too empathetic for the dark path (which I hate sometimes).

Honestly, the very fact that the game even notices such thing about player's actions and has any sort of reaction to it, that's beyond impressive given how rare it is.

And to think I'd dismissed this game because I thought it was just about being evil and hurting girls.
I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's easily one, if not the most complex game in the genre.

Unlike a lot of so called 'choice based' avns on here, FiN really does offer us a lot of leeway with how to treat the ladies and respond to situations. Which is a big selling point for me.

Unlike a lot of so called 'choice based' avns on here, FiN really does offer us a lot of leeway with how to treat the ladies and respond to situations. Which is a big selling point for me.

Of course I agree. I think that once Neon has wrapped up the game, it will be remembered as one of the very best ones, a game people will mention years later when talking about the best, most impactful stories AVNs have to offer. What you can do, and what types of stories it's possible to tell. I'm not saying it'll set a standard, but it will have an impact.

Good stories, good art can do that, being helpful in difficult times. I hope you're through that, though and are in a better place now Joshy.

I've only played through the game once, with Nicki as my girl (obvs), though it started with Gabi until she dumped me. I'll probably play a few more routes, but have a hard time seeing me go very dark (though murder is tempting) I'm way too much of a wuss for that.
I like Madison and turning him down on my current save is not easy.
And you can't avoid rooting for our brave and struggling Russian, can you?
And then there is Cassie, and she's barely made an appearance yet. I want to fix 'us', though I wonder what dark or gray paths Neon will lead us down with her.
