I get that argument, and normally I agree but in this case I'll give Neon the benefit of the doubt. It's his first, full, game and Chapter 1 has been bugging him for a long time - mainly the art but some things he should have done differently in the story as well. Now he has it the way he wanted and is ready to move on to Season 2 (starts in chapter 11) without being annoyed by Chapter 1. If a few months from now he starts saying "You know what? I'm really unhappy about chapter 6 as well..." then we can start throwing things at him.

1st evidence: he said he was going to rework chapter 1 only. Then he started remaking chapter 2, chapter 3 and so on...

2nd evidence: all of these pointless and unwanted standalone side stories that no one ever asked for instead of moving forward the game;

3rd evidence: new characters instead of moving forward with the existing storylines;

4th evidence: constantly announcing development deadlines and constantly failing them.

How many evidences do you need?

i kinda miss the OG nikki rape scene, it really fit the whole "money changes people" kinda storyline of getting out of the hell hole and then being the bad guy type deal, but i can see the whole new line as well, kinda wish it was still available. at least we still get the bathroom scene hehe
honestly really like the jun teases well, wish we got a more extended scene with it and explored the kinks more,to many teases of the bondage and then nipple piercings, at least need some cum dump creampie scenes, and a little joke about a new daughter with her business appliances maybe.

Could it be that you're actually fucking retarded? Novels and films don't get reworked AFTER they're published for the audience to see en masse. Rough drafts are things that exist BEFORE publication, not after.

What Western VN's are doing is the equivalent of Tolkien, George R. R. Martin or J. K. Rowling remaking the earlier chapters of their book series after they've been published while the last chapters STILL haven't been completed.

What another comment before said is true, the western VN world is toxic as fuck. There's no longer any fucking excuse that they're solo devs, indie devs, free games, middle of development, etc. Not with the plethora of resources that are widely available in fucking 2025. Japanese VN's also started much in the say way, but they never were even a tenth as amateurish and unprofessional in the way the conduct business as western devs.

Just look at the OG Tsukihime, which was when TYPE-MOON was still a doujin group back in 2000. And with the money they made from it and its spin-offs they were able to make the legendary Fate/stay night in 2004.

Is it showing content to anyone on Internet, or is finishing the story completely and then demonstrating it to others as such? I always thought it's the second. Otherwise demos make no sense. Usually they are changed a lot.

So could be a story be already officially published when it's not even completed?
