The reworked chapter 1 is great - artwork (obviously), but also the writing fits much better with story that follows, and the later tweaks and bonus characters are all positive.

Going from memory, but I’m pretty sure 0 is friendly, 1 is submissive, and 3 is on the romance track. So, similar to Gabby, you won’t consider someone that you’re actively trying to date, to babysit for another girl you’re taking on a date.

After reading the last 5 Sides i wonder why people dont mind the , in my opinon terrible cut of choises you coud make in the original.
The most importend in my opinion is the about Nikki, in the "new" chapter she is not begging for money after the movie, or "whore" herself out to get it.
Exeryone how played the original sure knowns what i am talking about.
The Rage , the feeling of betray.... all gone. Only "Mr. Nice Guy ".
Sorry but for me the original ( session 1 ) was MUCH better because of this Feelings.
This things gives "games" a "heart" if you know what i mean.

You have missed literal dozens of pages concerning this subject because they took place when the reworked chapter 1 was originally released.

That said, Guy in the new version still gets an array of dark choices concerning Nicki, going as far as rape. It is just now something that more clearly telegraphs this version of Guy is deeply shitty person.

There used to be a game, Midlife Crissis, which was a basic family sex simulator, but written vastly better than most. And of course, all the daughters, and the wife, were fine with the MC fucking around with everyone. On the Discord, a bunch of us were encouraging the dev to go full Lolita with it, and make the MC an unreliable narrator, so when he got to the end the cops would come in and all the girls would be sobbing and thanking the cops for saving them from their monster father. It would have been a riot to see the reactions of all the non-paying folks lose their minds over the twist.

Sadly, the Dev has disappeared - from the look of things, he probably passed away. Still, it would have been a riot.

I'm glad it got abandoned in that case. Though I doubt the dev would've ever done all that.
On topic so I'm liking the rework well enough so far but wtf happened to Nicki's face? She's so much cuter in the OG version IMO.

I don't think he was actually gonna do it, but it was a fun discussion on the Discord. It was an odd game, in that the premise and story were pretty generic for the AVN space, but the quality of the writing was a really huge step up from the norm. His jokes were actually funny, his lewd scenes were actually sexy, he didn't constantly repeat the same information 100 times over the exact same render, and his characters were, well, not exactly deep (mostly), but entertaining.

In a lot of ways, Neon has been an upgrade to that, though, so while I miss that game, FiN fills (and excedes) a lot of the same space. Great writing, interesting characters, actually sexy lewd scenes. Plus, Neon gives us choices (MLC was pretty linear), and a really great dark path!!!!

I've never accused NeonGhosts of milking, you're grasping at straws here. And no, it IS bad for consumers even tho the subscribers are not being forced to keep supporting. Those people support devs who have game in development with the intention of helping the creator make their game, them stopping the support in most cases will not have any positive effect on the game's development.

So the paying subscribers become hostages of their own making. Do they keep supporting the game in the hope that it'll get better in the future or do they stop supporting the game and risk causing the game's development to worsen or even stop altogether?

It matters not whether the dev has good intentions with their actions or if they're just maliciously milking, the outcome is still the same, a state that is bad for consumers, both the pirates and the paying supporters.

I personally do not believe NeonGhosts is milking, I think they're simply correcting for past mistakes, which is something that takes both time and effort. I do not like the fact there is rework being done, I personally don't think a rework is 100% absolutely necessary, but I do recognize that the rework improves several things about the game both for the perspective of the consumer and easier development in the future.

I'm simply pointing out a pattern within the industry. Whether this game will fall into a death spiral or not is still yet to be determined.

That's a long way to say "I think I was wrong about this one, my bad." That's ok; apology accepted.

Dude, I'm a fan of the Dark Path but I love all paths generally, especially the Love Path and I have no issues with Neon doing a remake or long updates at all. I personally respect his craft for the game.

Please stop the assumption those who like Dark Path are plain assholes.

I think I might be looking most forward to a dark romance path with any of the LIs, if dev's time permits. Little of the sweet 'n sour for them, if you will.

Anyone who thinks NeonGhosts is trying to finagle money is just dead wrong. I'm Guy irl (sans the charity and most of the dark routes), and want to keep my anonimity by paying in BTC, and he absolutely won't take my money. I literally offered to just manually send him a years worth of top level donations last week and he declined. It's clearly not his motivation.

The remake is absolutely top quality, thanks NeonGhosts! I've replayed the old game many times, it has definitely been my favorite. I liked it before, and I like it now, it's even kind of a new game with the remake. Nikki is my fav though, so it makes sense I'd love new Nikki content.
