So, just for my own edification, what, exactly, is the difference between the Subscribestar version and the Patreon version. I am a patron on Patreon and get the updates there but I was wondering if the Subscribestar version has the more "edgey" material or no?
Friends in Need (the Subscribestar version) has darker content available.

Is it just me or is the "patch" not working? I feel like some of the "bad guy" scenes are missing. (Or maybe I just don't remember them correctly....)
Maybe I am remembering it wrong, but I though the scene with Ashe in the alleyway was different/longer. But it is also some time when I last played it.
No, there was no change to the alleyway scene.

You need to edit it with notepad and write:

label patch:
$ patch = True
return
No longer. Now it is simply the presence of a patch.rpy file which activates the darkest material.

I am not that demanding, I understand that most authors make games alone or in a small team, so I do not demand high quality from them, the presence of content in the game is much more important to me.
Well, feel free to play games like that. I find them unplayable.

Not a fan of Lucian but that's the point of his character I think, he's an evil mofo who deserves death.
On the other hand I don't think he's our nemesis, the cast is growing with every chapter as new substories are introduced.
I think some of the hate can come from him fucking some girls, we know some people are allergic to that kind of content.
While Lucian has his little criminal business, people like Risa's father have more power than a thug like Lucian will ever have.
So far the moral of FiN is Money = Power and how do you use that power.
In this perspective the mc is more powerful than Lucian, he just cant turn his money into influence cuz he is dumb and not born into money, i mean even IRL (for those who follow politics without the veil of passion) we know rich billionaries spread money in a way that people who make decisions in many layers not just political but courts and so are in the pockets or receive funding or some advantage coming from the money they "invest"

lets say the mc do something terrible to Brittani against her will, and the attorney general is on the mc pockets, the midia has some connection with the mc and some good ad money is paid by him, the DA is in his pockets, and very influent people who make people act a certain way would spin a narrative "the mc is a nice guy Britanni is a golddigger, her mother is a golddigger"

in the game we even have those influencers asking the mc for money this is actually a great point the dev make

the mc dont have that web of power so he could ask people to get rid of Lucian and is done (Lucian is not someone people would ask many questions if he dissapear)

he dont have cops ons his pocket yet ( i dont know if this is something the dev think about or just the porn aspect)

If someone know more game where the MC is involved in a relationship similar to Nicki's relationship with the MC, Please let me know. I'm looking for games where MC basically save a damsel in distress and she begins to fall for him.

The thing about lucien is that he will roll over you if you go into the situation on a full dark path, cause he clearly has some degree of control over his actions and guys lack of refinement becomes obvious. On the middleground he is either a threat, a partner or a mentor type character which remains to be seen.

That kind of goes against the nature of her character though.

And by nature I am referring to her tendency to make poor choices.
this is what i was thinking when i was like " i need to be nice to her ? but she make shit choices this mean she wont be with me"

Well i never really kept a dark patch, cuz i never stick with choices i think the dev will give me a "game over" ending if a make, i see the scene and then go back to the gray one or so when the dev give me the vibe i will lose my save i just start to not make the evil choices, like if you do dark path with Nicky you lose having sex with her, or if you misgender Mason he maybe resent you or something (make me feel like the dev will punish me if i make this choice so i dont bother making another start to have a save in this direction)

You don't get punished for misgendering Mason during sex scenes. Maybe outside of them. You also don't get gameover screens; the dark path is an actual path with lots of scenes, and so is the corruption/domination path. I think the dev said the dark path will end the soonest, and there will be some consequences for LIs, like Viola for example will disappear for quite a while until maybe towards the end or something. But, the only way to find these things out is to either ask on here or just play it through yourself and see (or look through the code). If you just assume this VN is made as other VNs are, you might miss some things. So, personally, I'd recommend you just make the choices you most want to make. The game is short enough that you can easily start over and skip through to make different choices, and you can even name saves now! :D

The key word is "yet", Guy is a new rich building his own network. But with time and lawyers/advisors he can destroy someone like Lucian with just a call like Risa's father can do right now.
This bring one interesting question tho, Why Risa's father hasn't destroyed Lucian yet?

We have seen how his people has a full dossier about Guy deeds because he's been living in one of their buildings and in contact with Risa. So it would be strange if they has nothing on Lucian, one of Risa's dealers since college days.
Can we expect Risa's father to be Epstein 2.0? I only hope the reason is not that Lucian is blackmailing him, because if a small potatoes like Lucian tries to blackmail a millionaire irl he's dead meat. Like imagine trying to blackmail George Soros because you sold him some black market gay porn :LOL:

NeonGhosts just want to say you really absolutely nailed it with the new premise to how our MC gets rich. I genuinely feel hyped for the MC when he gets rich and got goosebumps. Even though I have played this game multiple times over before and knew the plot. The "get rich quick" thing really does hit well in the human psychology. It's truly like a dream and you nailed it within your story. Well done, this is something you can reuse for other stories or games you create too. It really gets the audience rooting for the main character and creates a bridge of understanding and common ground between the MC and the audience.

And yet, ironically, being nice to Nicki does convince her to get in the relationship with Guy, even though she's scared of losing him as a friend.

She isn't an idiot. Not any more of idiot than Guy who has spent literal years making shit choices to never make a move on the girl he's had crush on even if she clearly fancied him back.

Are you confusing "millionaire" and "billionaire", perhaps?
8 mil is nothing when one compares it to wealth of someone like Mr Rhodenbarr, which is, I believe, partially why he allows himself to look down at our protagonist.

Yes, our guy is, as Detective Mercer put, newly rich guy.
Does not mean that he is any more powerful than before, but that is not because he is stupid.
