the update 0.40.1 broke the fix - the ram consumption goes slower with it but not stops
it worked for v 0.40.0 though
a little trick : if you see it goes to high , switch between fullscreen and window mode , clears the gpu ram

with memory leak
They really should include "memory leak" in the tags at this point.
It's been like 6 months+ of releases with memory leaks.
Just followed your advice, dropped 6gb of memory usage from a single F11 click.

You are absolutely right! And you should definitely contact Steam support, I mean you as a paying consumer to experience such issues - it's absolutely scandalous.
All these paying customers in this thread, and this developer has the nerve to this...

Ok, i just came across this one, thought i would try it out. Is it just me or is the MC a total loser?? Its like he is shit scared of everything, living with his tutor's adopted daughter, who is supposed to be his childhood friend, yet he acts like a sniffling little child, "yes ms short" who in their right mind talks like that to a childhood friend, Christ he's even scared of going to the new school, i get hes been out of action for 4 years but could he not have a bit more balls and stand up for himself, i only managed to get as far as the burglars in the house then it just frooze up.

Totally! It is a start up from below the ground up origin story of the amoeba rising up through the ranks of her peers.
That culminates with his night encounter with the doctor, at the hospital. That is the six feet under rock bottom moment.
He has to be in order to make the plot work: rape, murder, blackmail, harassment, Harvey-esque office ”transactional” hookups going on, totally criminal sex trafficking going on in the school, the hospital and in the streets. Plenty of stuff to be skiddish about, when living such a sheltered life with no role models, just disgruntled employees and family members.
MC gets a savior and that is the plot holding everything together. Without that Hail Mary, there would be no point in being the nail all others hammer into the ground.
Mmmm, sorry but you don't have to be a total loser to have Rape, Blackmail and Harassment. The way he is being portrayed, you might as well stick him in a princess dress and place him in the corner of the room. If I can get the game to get past the burglars without freezing, i hope he mans up a bit.

Just played this and really enjoyed the story. I am seeing in this thread that updates are really infrequent. I hope that doesn't continue to be the case.
