Update is probably going to take a while still. Springtrap would have been better to implement from the beginning since every other sexbot AI needs to be halted and restart in an elegant way on top of the animation work for her to function at a basic gameplay level.

Is there a way to know roughly how many weeks yet ?

Hard to say, I didn't think it would take as long as it already has. I generally plan for updates to be spaced out 2 months apart. I think at minimum one month more and at maximum two months. I'm planning on adding a public development status board to show what's planned for this week, the current update, and the final game sometime in the next couple weeks.

I love the doggystyle scene with Foxy but the Fredrika in this just looks amazing, it's too bad she only has BJ scenes. Shit, this whole premise is great; sitting in an office fricken' terrified 'cause you know what living animontronics normally want to do to you, but these ones just want to play XD. I think the little bit of fear adds to the whole thing.

Although I assume Golden Frederika (the last planned animatronic for this game) will most likely be a yellow version of Frederika, meaning Frederika technically does get 2 other animation planned in the future.
Only other way to have 'finished' animatronic get a new scene is with a double-team scene, which are purely a bonus and none are planned to be added just yet.

Double team animations were a planned feature for 1.0 with each of the 6 "standard" bots appearing in one. There won't be anymore threesome animations added until after 1.0. I don't want to make any promises but I intend to have a custom model for Golden Fredrika instead of just a reskin. I'm a terrible artist but I'm working on learning the technical side of making game ready models (retopo + rigging). So if I feel like the Golden Fredrika model turns out terrible I'll resort to using the reskinned model in the toy box.

Just an opinion here, I feel like the game would have been better if it stuck to just the original 4 sex bots and maybe Golden Frederika instead of adding more characters from the sequels.

The result of adding more bots was a lot of time went into their unique mechanics, although IMO Puppet and Mangle feel kind of pointless. They're essentially just slightly altered versions of Foxy where you have to check on them every once in a while. Springtrap is more interesting, but she's still a bit out of place considering she's from FNAF 3 and originally was very worn down.

Personally, I think rather than limiting each bot to 3 animations (dom, sub and threesome) and adding more as the game went, the existing bots should have been fleshed out more. i.e. Frederika and Chica having the ability to go to both doors so they're less predictable, being able to catch Chica entering your room if you time it well, etc. and there could be more animations added for each bot with various criteria. Things like whether you lock Foxy out long enough for her whole "seducing" animation to play out or if you let her jump you immediately, which side Frederika or Chica enter on, and more threesomes with each possible combination rather than only one threesome animation per bot.

I remember having a conversation on Patreon (I'm That One Guy Who Never Pledges) about a sequel, and whenever you get around to that I hope you go that route rather than adding new characters over time to the point the game gets cluttered.

The sequel won't have any FNAF characters; it's more of a spiritual successor than sequel. The goal is to have one bot with multiple cosmetic options and the ability to use different AI's. That way if I make an animation it can be used with any bot you like. That's FuckNAF's #1 design flaw, all the bots have slightly different rigs and different AI scripts because when I started I didn't take the time to make them uniform. If they're all uniform they can become modular so you could have custom nights, custom maps, custom bots, etc. For example you could have the player choose/create two bots that behave like "Foxy" (exhibitionists) but one is a bear and the other a wolf, with different breast sizes, futa options, and voices.

That's the goal anyway, I'm looking at other games which use the same rig for different characters. There's the Sims 4/Skyrim approach of making the characters the same proportions so that the rigs always line up which would be the easier option of the two. Then there's the Illusion/Ubisoft method of having in game IK rigs that adapt their animation around the potential variables that can change how an animation can play out (obstacle avoidance for Ubisoft, keeping penises in vaginas for Illusion). This would also be extremely useful in the furry porn space since heads can vary wildly between characters, it's not possible to make a single FK blow job animation for two models with mouths in different spots. The second one would be much better and have implications beyond simply reusing animations but it's a complicated solution even for AAA studios (example: Mass Effect: Andromeda).

smutcube, I’m excited to see what you come up with either way. I’m not a huge furry fan, but this is a game that’s first person, has animated scenes, and actually has gameplay-that’s a streak of wins in my book.

Just wanted to leave my opinion here too, idk what exactly you want to do with the game at the end, but, i really exited to see some more options, or skins (like i see in a past, with nightmare bunny), for more horror like in this game, idk, i just feel this will make game feel more, unique in some way. Still, exited to see every update, good luck with your future development smutcube, hope you read that.

So does that mean you'll only have one bot to pay attention to all night, and it will have more complex and challenging AI so that keeping it out is still a challenge? I'm guessing you're only in the planning stages with the sequel aside from the models you had commissioned, but I have to admit my curiosity is piqued.

The only real concern I have from the sounds of it is that it will result in a lack of diversity when it comes to muzzle/mouth shapes. I find Chica's beak very appealing myself, and if the one bot has to be able to do every single animation I get the feeling muzzle/mouth options will be limited.

In any case I appreciate the detailed response, and I'm looking forward to both whatever else comes out of FuckNAF and how the spiritual successor game turns out.

When I say there's only going to be one bot I mean all bots are going to be derived from a single "base bot" and that base bot is going to be able to change its appearance and behavior based on parameters such as Futa/Male/Female genitals, with Male/A/B/C/D breasts, and a bird/wolf/bear head. There will be a variable number (between 0 and 10-ish) of bots trying to get to the player during game play. The gist of the game will be a space-trucker sim where you're delivering sex bots across the galaxy. That would open up the possibility to have unique bots every "night", unique durations to "nights" based on distance and ship speed, and custom maps built by buying and arranging ship modules. This is all dependent on my ability, and is a "best case scenario" description of what the sequel could be. I don't want to over-promise and under-deliver it's very easy to imagine these things and very difficult to make them happen.

Can gay and futa be turned off as a preference? When you say space trucker, will it be a bit like "space run" (a space truck "sim") where you have a modular ship for different weapons?

I'll tell you the sequel looks great, I'm just wondering if you're going to put a "baby" system in the two games or the sequel.

The "baby" system I am talking about is like a lie \ truth game where instead of the screen you have a robot that guides you (as happens in fnaf sister location) with the only difference that the robot you have to control is the one that guides you.



Honestly I'm a little sorry baby character cannot be applied to the first game, but from what I understand it would only delay the full release of the first game
