Whoa! This was loads of fun and the way it's set up with items and reasons to step away from the cameras to change fuses and other such things is cool for replayability. Unlocking the scenes without having to lose is a HUGE welcomed feature. I like that alot.
Few things to work on for me. I like the U.I. of the past, telling you what buttons did what as well as having quests and tasks for you to do displayed on screen. There were items I got and had no idea what it really did and/or how to use it and then some things just weren't very clear. Like in Survival mode it would be neat to still have the D key option and show what items you have. I also like the idea of having the stop mini-game that was in Mixy's to let me know for sure I applied the fuse, with a chance to put me under pressure to get it right so I can get back to the cameras.
Some things just operated weird. You're told P is to flash and it does that, but it does utterly nothing to Fremy when I used P to flash and I got lucky enough to hit X and find that flashes as well and it actually works when you use X versus P.
Didn't have many bugs except there were times Fremy would get stuck on the camera and it would take Coco or Mia coming to reset her. And then there was this time Mixy was supposed to run off, but she glitched and was stuck in the running animation right in front of my locker resulting in me losing $100 bucks D:
Not sure if that's intentional, but finding the fuses in Mixy's, Coco's and Mia's area's does absolutely nothing when I collect and use them.
Fremy's VIP matching is also bugged. Upon completing it, I simply get given the menu screen to switch my controls layered over the screen.
This gave me a few ideas though!
- It would be awesome to have an item that is an additional guard as a party member that essentially gives you a second life, but the intensity of the night kicks up but you get a 'bonus' for getting you and the rookie through the night alive.
- Having the free roam aspect was really neat, but I think it would be cool to blend those modes together, making it progress into the Fnaf part. For example, the night starts with you potentially ushering out the last of the customers and locking down the place. You scout around to find things that will help you throughout the night before hunkering down in the security guards room. (e.g. fuses, turn on extra cameras, set up noise traps, etc) if you risk staying out before getting back to the guard shack they can start to hunt you just like in say Mixy's area with you having to hide in lockers to make your way back without getting caught. Add in different maps and that would be an added bonus!
- In regards to the additional guard item/party member, I know this is a much harder thing to pull off, but having this be co-op would be insanely fun. I can already imagine laughing at a friend as they get raped to oblivion while I'm managing to hide and survive.
This has alot of potential, and I know it's not finished yet with not even the story being in the game. But this was loads of fun to play! I look forward to seeing the ideas that the dev comes up with, right up to additional mechanics, items and animatronics.
Cheers and be well!
