Anyone else having issues with a black background in place of the animations? I can't tell if I'm just dumb and didn't load something properly or if something is bugged.

the takes of "heh skip bros just wanna goon lol" bra its a fucking porn game. the dev should know their audience is here MAINLY for the porn. also hot take but if it took you 3 months to make 15 minutes of a game (that had no scenes lewd or otherwise) then maybe to dont drop the update without anything to show for it. honestly im more frustrated by the white knighting then this dud update. lets just admit that 90 days for 15 minutes of flat text on still images is disappointing even if it's a masterpiece (which it isnt, no offence dev)

Is it turning completely black or just flickering? Try pressing shift + G and forcing ANGLE2 Renderer and see if that fixes it. You'll need to restart the game after.

I just tried that but it's still not working. It's not flickering or showing still images. It's just a black background.

Man I love that you can't call out the short update, that it has no sex scenes, etc, or you're not being constructive, being a troll or whatever the fuck the white knights are saying now.

Plenty of VNs can get away with an update with 0 sex or very few, but the difference here is the dev is making a few too many paths, so when you finally get to yours, and it's this, it will naturally be disappointing.

The best one was definitely the comment trying to somehow shame people for *checks notes* enjoying sex scenes in a porn game?! My god, what has the world come to, how dare they.

Anyway, I still enjoy the devs work (so far) but this page isn't just to lick his ass, some people like to read comments to know if an update is worth it or not.

That didn't work either. All my drivers are up to date too. I don't know what else it could be. I've tried other Ren'Py VNs and they are working just fine.

Brother, I don't mean to be rude, but where is all this "constructive" criticism you keep referencing? The grand majority of the negative feedback is not constructive by any metric, it's just people whining that there's no sex in this update and/or dooming about the f/f path supposedly being the priority now. Vapid shit, mostly. Now, could Scarlet do something productive with this type of feedback? Possibly. That doesn't make it helpful or valuable on its own, however.

Like I said earlier, I think it's perfectly reasonable for some people to be disappointed. We just had a lot of updates for a path that doesn't cater to the tastes of many in the thread, so I empathize with folks on that. And yes, this is a porn game, so sex is an expectation for sure. It's just a lot of the tone underpinning the "constructive" feedback here kinda sucks ass lol. Much of it reads like people have been personally spited, not that they're simply underwhelmed. Even a good portion of your own posts on this amount to "well he couldn't have been sick THAT long". Like, c'mon dude. Have a lil empathy for your fellow man.

the dev WAS sick remember plus its not just story that needs to be written everything has to be rendered and animated and other shit i dont know abt cuz im not a animator:| and some people have smth called a LIFE outside their device which might be a foreign concept to u idk

In Koikatsu, which this dev uses, reusing existing rooms and poses with a few expression or pose tweaks is pretty quick. The real time sink is creating new animations or complex scenes. Without those, it’s mostly just placing characters and taking shots—so this update being mostly new dialogue is accurate.

You don’t need to be an animator to work in Koikatsu. Placing and creating characters is easy, and adding basic animations isn’t too hard either. That said, some creators are much more skilled at making smooth, natural movement, and Scarlet is definitely one of them. The built-in Studio lets you keyframe poses and move characters, but making it look fluid takes practice. It means breaking actions into smaller keyframes, adjusting timing, and layering subtle motions like breathing or weight shifts. That’s where the more skilled animators stand out.

I'm not sure what happened, I started a fresh playthrough for 1.4.1 and the game ended after day 4. I never met the other futa, i remember there being so much more content. Is that a bug or did I stumble into some weird decision tree? I don't feel like i made different choices than before.

what choices did you make? if you want to meet the futa characters you have to choose the futaxfuta path

I don't recall getting a futaxfuta choice. I was all in for everyone I was given an option for. In this playthrough I never met the other futa.
