If this game doesn’t have a proper gallery with functions like zoom in I’ll be so sad. Everything else that happened can be forgiven if the sex animation experience is what it should be

I got a pm too, but I didn't bother reading it.
I don't think I could possibly have been clearer that the only thing I care about hearing from this project is "the new demo/full release is out right now and you can download it."

Until that point, I feel like anything HW could say would have no value?
Like, even if the reasoning and 'just for the record' posts are completely true... it doesn't actually change anything, does it?

Either the demo is downloadable or it isn't.
And it's not.
So this thread is of no further interest to me until that changes.

Damn, Every Triple A Dev dreams of doing what these guys are doing, imagine if a triple aaa studio such as Ea or ubisoft did this, wait your telling me people on the internet can buy access to a game for almost a decade and pay for it that whole time but never actually get to play the full release and when people get upset just say the full release is coming and constentally push the release date back and they are getting paid this whole time?????? EA should honeslty hire these guys. If there isnt some kind of law being broken id be shocked but then again weirder shit has happened.

The game we really need is the full adaptation of Crime and Punishment paired with the gameplay of Super Mario.
next we need a sequel following a group of toads who are part of a growing nihilist movement who end up murdering luigi, may as well go all the way with the dostoevsky references xD

This shit still in development? Jeez. Found it when I first started playing H-games years ago, and it still ain't out. Do we have an estimate for the amount of sex scenes the final product will have?

So.

This got an abandon tag.

Then dev later mentions on Discord about releasing a full fire-level demo after the 'abandon tag?'

Then later postpones said full fire level demo release after initial 24 hours with more delays?

Did I miss anything? Looking back at posts when someone questions abandon tag a few pages back and another user later mentions dev mentioning on Discord about releasing a demo, but then puts it off?

Assuming mods don't come police my post for whatever reasons. Apparently questioning anything about HW ways gets you censored on this thread.
I don't know anything about the discord, but I've been following the bi-weekly progress reports they post on reddit, and making estimates based on the numbers for remaining scenes and bugs. Based only on those, development has been slow but steady. Maybe I'm missing something that was posted to discord but theoretically development could be done in the next couple months.
Regarding the 'abandoned' tag, I think I saw on a different thread that a game automatically gets labelled as abandoned if it hasn't received an update in a certain amount of time. This post hasn't been updated since February 2021, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's why it got the tag, even though development is still going.

Not surprising. Man just likes to write. A lot. Even the dialogues & cutscenes have so are so heavy on the literature composition, dude should just stop trying to make FF chug along and go write a book instead. Always had that impression once I saw the first gameovers started coming out.

Honestly that's not even a bad idea. Imagine if you could take the premise of this game's story, setting, characters, etc. and adapt it into a full novel. With the amount of writing and detail that's supposedly been one of the reasons for the delays, why not?

Why not? It worked for Fate/Stay Night.

Regardless of other reasons, I could easily see Hentaiwriter pushing the deadline farther and farther away because hes scared to lose this games audience. So if most people on this thread dont know, Hentaiwriter actually has developed/developing? two other games. One, Reclaim Reality, which got cancelled due to, among other reasons, scope and lack of intrest. And Eroding Ego, which might still be in development, and supposedly is the next game. However the reception to Eroding Ego was pretty lukewarm compared to this game, although to be fair it was never really given a chance. I could easily see them pusedo delaying the game, whilst still adding more content, because they are scared to take the next step. From all the conversations I've had with the guy, I don't think hes scamming anyone, he was always been a genuinely good person.

If anyones doubting them you should go look at the Reclaim Reality thread and look at his outline for that game. I simply dont think its the kind of thing someone who isnt passionate about these games would make. And to clarify I have absolutely zero intrest in either of the games, so im not some sort of Joshua Tree. If anything the only game im interested in is ErodingEgo.

I remember the OG ULMF thread, the first one now lost to the pits of time. Future Fragments managed to drum up the interest it did because of the quality of the pixel art and scene animations, as 2D sprite H games that look good are too rare even in the Jap game dev scene. All the voice acted cutscenes and twenty (or whatever number it is now) unique endings with a hundred powerups weren't really a thing back then. It's a shame, because from what the Dev has said then the majority of the enemy animations have already been shown in the demos, and the H art isn't the focus of the game anymore.

It will be interesting to compare the original demo of the fire level with the new one releasing SOONtm, to see just where the design mentality of this project has focused on.

It's never really done before in non-VNs because 20+ endings for a porn game is completely insane. You can really only get away with that if they're 20 different GORs like what Koooonsoft does. What's next, the Future Fragments dedicated speedrunning community?

And these days pixel art couldn't be easier to make. You just draw in your original artstyle, let Stable Diffusion pixelate it, and animate with spine. The new grift is spending 3+ years rigging low res blender models that a 1st year art school student could make in a weekend and pretending you're reinventing the wheel with lighting or cel shading even though all of these things are included in engines like Unreal or Godot. Hell you don't even need to understand rigging or animation.

And that's another crazy thing about this whole project. This game's been in development so long that technology has improved to the point where way games like these are made has significantly improved since it's started. It's like the duke nukem forever of eroge in that way I guess. I'm still looking forward to the release but I'm not holding my breath

I really don't want to slog pages of potential nonsense. Is the game actually still in development or did it kick the bucket for good?
