Sure, payment card companies doesn't make this any better as well. But there was a time when I talked with both HentaiWriter and Anon42 on discord while I was making videos for their games and I remember these talks about various guidelines (especially true for Crisis Point: Extinction when they changed theme from enemy rape to consensual scenes).
For FF I remember a request to delete a scene with Hypnotic Sex from a demon which they changed later. Reasoning was the same: sex under hypnosis isn't consensual so it must be changed/removed.

I played the demo years ago and decided to back the patreon for the full game because of the extreme scenes, finally get around to trying the full game, trigger two of the scenes and hear and bunch of "all you all right talia I don't wanna be rough", the fuck? I don't recall this shit before. Making me regret backing shit again.
