I think you're getting trolled with all this "too dark" and "too bright" garbage. Everything in the game has been perfectly visible. There are 5 possibilities for the people that complain:
1. They are trolling (most likely)
2. They are blind
3. They have monitors from the 80s
4. They have no clue how to set up their monitor
