DevLog #7 - Status of Update 1
Hi, hope you are doing well!

First of all, I would like to show our appreciation for the great reception Getting Intimate had! This is just the beginning, and we can't wait for you to see all the exciting plans we have for the game!
Chapter 1 Update 1 is going very well, we have already finished Stella's part and only the Intro part remains to be redone. It should take less time than Stella's part, although it involves an almost complete rework of the script (We will also have to make the necessary translations into Spanish again.)
Other good news is that the script for Chapter 2 is taking shape, and a pretty curvy one, if you ask me.
Who do you think will be featured in the new background?

We thank everyone who has supported us financially. Getting Intimate is a quite ambitious project that would not be possible without help, since it requires many hours of work. That's why we want to start honoring the rewards of each tier, which are there for a reason!

ive yet to get around to playing this but it is on the backlog list and wow it looks so much better I might just wait till chapter 2 is out just so I can play the new version

Whether you wait or manage to get to this before the next release, I think you're in for a good time. It's a fun journey so far, often just silly but in a good way. It's a nice pivot from some of the more serious titles you can find on this site.

yeah this might be one that is hard to wait but depending on the dev cycle might be able to pull it off.

Good first chapter. Only critic for me is the completely lack of sounds/music for the most part of the game (but the sex sounds/moanings are really hot. Keep doing that).

Melinda is gorgeous. She will be a great addition to my MILF collection. Can't wait for more content with her.

Could be worth reach out some GFX artist and ask to make some fan signatures so people can use it and ad the game around the site.
EDIT: Also, implement a scene gallery in future updates will be nice

Free roam events are also a waste of time, they add nothing, you just click to go further and the only thing it changes is the order of things we see with no additional bonus (look at Pale Carnations to see how it should be done). At the very end it's even worse, the only thing we can click on are 3 people so WTF do we even have to do it?

If I were to rate this game right now I would probably give it 3 stars so I won't review it yet. Hopefully things will improve later because otherwise it will become another game with beautiful renders and terrible-average everything else.

I agree mainly. The renders are great, the women are all gorgeous, although maybe a couple don't have to have boobs as big as watermelons. There's not much of a story, if any... He's just back in town after 15 years. The only thing is this mystery girl he was friends with when younger. Not exactly riveting when we don't know any of the characters previously. It needs a narrative (something big that MC & friends need to achieve or have to figure out, etc). Free roam is a waste of time for whats in there at the moment. Dialogue is just ok. There's hardly any conversations given to show characters personalities, they just explain who they are like a job interview. I thought the best part was the Brother & Sister duo (Satoshi & Sayuri). More of a fun scene and showed their personalities more. Also choices made a big difference there. I still enjoyed this VN for the most part and other than the mundane dialogue, it has great potential. Hopefully dialogue can improve and show some emotion or their traits. Game needs to make distinct characters. Right now the only two in the game that actually have personalities are Satoshi & Stella. For some reason even with its flaws, this game is still very likeable and with a few changes in the writing, could be fantastic.

There is something about her closed eyes that doesn't look right. (her eyelashes specifically)
Erika looks like the elder daughter from Mid Life Crisis.
Everything looks good so far keep it up. (y)
Melinda is mcs aunt, right? and Valerie his cousin?

got around to playing this... it's not bad, but not great either. Renders are nice. Animations are well done. Story is nothing remarkable tho, seen it a million times. Writing is average (also stop with the fucking stuttering in convos, it's not needed). Characters are again nothing outstanding, you have your typical slut thrown in so you can have sex scenes, the milf, the daughter, the bitch, asshole rich guy, etc... but there are a couple characters as well where there may be potential. At least there is a good amount of content.

DevLog #8 - End of Update 1
Hi, hope you're doing well!
Update 1 has been successfully completed! Changes are:
  • Complete visual rework of Stella's Boutique scene. (79 renders)
  • Complete visual rework and partial script rework of Intro scene. (55 renders)
  • A portion of the dialogues have been proofread.
  • New unlockable background.
  • Added 12 tracks (more to come!)
  • Fixed typos.
We thought it would be better to wait until both updates are ready to upload the game links. After all, these updates will improve the first-time user experience above anything else.
What's left to be done?
Quite simple. Update 2 consists of a complete visual rework of Satoshi and Sayuri scene, finish proofreading and not much more.
(Read the next section to find out why the Portuguese translation has been postponed!)
About translations
We are currently receiving help to proofread all the dialogs in the game. This means that the files are constantly changing... and this, in turn, means that the translations no longer work because of the way renpy works.
I want to warn that it's very likely that no translations will be available for Getting Intimate until Chapter 2 Part A is released.
