I didn't like to study, so I even understand the willpower to do a lesson, but I don't know how schools in Russia are, so if it's strict then it may be a problem not to study, it's like breaking the rule. As for the hotel, if the person is shy she will have little courage to see, so it would be even easier to peek at sex scenes after letting go or being aroused.

Well are school is Russian inspired. I wrote a huge chunk of it and when we did write it no one on the devs know much if anything about Russian schools. So it is kinda a cross between US school, western EU school and a Russian school. Plus we had a vote well over a year ago about how Russian does everyone want us to keep the game and the most popular choice was. Keep the Russian flavor but do what makes the most interesting game play first and foremost. Or something to that effect, either way that was the gist of the poll result. So Girl Life is Russian flavored and inspired but not exactly like Russia. I think of the game more as a alternative timeline where Soviet's fell earlier and Russia was much more heavily influenced by the west as a result. Plus at the end of the day this is a porn parody of a girls life in Russia.

That is the downside to sandbox, we don't know how every player will play their Sveta. So we make judgement calls and try and walk a middle ground to allow for all play styles, but that means of course sometimes things don't match up just perfectly with all things. I mean you can play the good girl trying to resist the world, you can play a weakwilled slut that is struggling to resist to become the town bicycle, or you can play a dominate sexual active girl that loves sex and likes to take charge. It is hard to write for example willpower uses that fit all three examples every time just perfectly. Not counting all the other different ways the MC can be played. Another example some nerds likely enjoy homework, while others would hate doing homework. So the willpower system opens up a lot of new options for us to tell stories, it does have limitations because of our sandbox open world style of game.

Ah so the consensual sex willpower drain is for a good girl trying resist the temptation or whatnot. Got it. I get what you are you saying about the sandbox nature and the willpower system works adequately for it's purposes. I will wait until I get to play 0.7.6. with the latest tweaks and then re-evaluate. From the outset I don't see willpower modeling sexual innocence that well but since I don't have any better ideas to present atm...I'll just shut up and be happy with the system you guys implemented

I would put this as there being problems with the willpower system not fitting or working well with the sandbox nature of the game. As far as I can tell its a design problem that will keep recurring; willpower trying to do too much in too many different ways - or put it another way, that the concept of what willpower is and what it is to be used for is poorly defined.

A couple of other examples. It costs willpower to leave the hotel maid scenes and not look yet in the apartment 58 stairwell encounters it costs willpower to look and not leave. Huh? In the Kolka shower peeking scene it costs willpower to scream, but also willpower to invite him in, while not costing willpower to ignore it or just let him look. Again, I am puzzled?

I'll leave it there as I feel that my well intended criticism is being taken as some sort of attack. (Meaning that willpower seems to be beyond reproach. )

I have to agree it's broke. They have just recently started working on it and we should see some changes in the future. Combining willpower and sub/dom has me scratching my head. One of my chars is a bimbo, has 198 willpower, studying to go to Uni until she saw that shiny dress. She probably shouldn't be able too refuse anyone. If she did have 0 willpower is she also a sub? Not the same thing IMO. As you said willpower trying to do too much. Waiting to see cuz they are the ones with brains and stuff.

Well I mentioned that when you have a lot of different people working on seeding willpower you will have people have some different idea's on exactly how willpower should work, plus as I mentioned with GL being a sandbox game letting the player play how they want. It is pretty much impossible to cover every possible thing, so we try and walk a middle ground.

Of course if you think something is a mistake you should report it as a bug, so someone like Kevin a coder can take a look at it. I don't think the willpower system will ever be perfect and fit every possible situation but it does add a lot of game play options for us to use now.

Sub and Dom was not combined with willpower. Willpower replaced the old sub and dom system and sub and dom will return later as sexual preferences and possible traits.

There is a chance he will cum in her when they have sex and then there is a chance she can get pregnant from it. There is no stats that impact it, it only depends if he cums in her and then rng if that gets her knocked up.

Use programs like MegaBasterd or MegaDownloader and use proxy (just search free proxy and add through settings)
