Someone had a great idea in discord about the orc and the peasant girl in the poll, so I’ll be including both of them in the game.
Also, there will never be ‘monstergirls’ in the game. I didn’t really think of an orc as one, as it’s kind of just a green-skinned humanoid - I suppose *technically* they are, but I was more so just allowing them on the basis of high fantasy/magic being permissible. I understand your concerns though, and I’m curious as to how many people would be against it. If there are a lot, then I might redraft the poll or just remove the orc from it.
Yes, I am not opposed to monster girls or themes of fantastical creatures and magic. If anything, your game is the perfect setting for magical and fantasy elements and magic-based gladiatrices would be great while we are on the topic. Just so long as the next few characters added don't contain another orc now that you're planning to include one as the game's blacksmith, is what I was trying to say. Because I think orcish women are a type of character with very specific characteristics (large, overly muscular) who will only please certain people aesthetically. I would shrug and interact with her anyway just to explore the scenes but I'd probably explore the peasant girl first instead so providing a second character, if possible, is ideal. Especially if, just as an example, that orc would include niche fetishes apart of her domination style. Like having thick, hairy armpits and she forcibly shoves the PC's face into her sweaty blacksmith pits as a way to mind-break him. That'd be a big 'no thanks' from me but as the game developer, you'll probably find people making that type of suggestion eventually.
I've just noticed that developing a game like this can be complicated because the first character you design which appeals to someone's very specific fantasies, you'll be swarmed with them basically begging you to do more of this-and-that, to the point they'll want more of whatever it is until your game basically caters to them. My whole argument is just on the sole focus of one or two fetishes being dictated by people such as those with a voting power, creating an overabundance of bigger (heavier set and/or muscular) girls and what I refer to as "grossdom" activities you find in those other femdom games, and I'm classifying the orc as a bigger girl rather than if she makes sense for the game itself. Other fantasy characters like elves could even be another nice addition to the game's universe. I just think that if you start adding too many of one thing then the game will give this impression to certain groups of people that, "hey, this is a game designed exactly for us" and it would be difficult to break away from their expectations. I couldn't go to the UTW or ToT board and ask "can we get some physically fit, younger women?" without it being an attack on the community those games have developed, and those communities can easily spread to other games asking for the same stuff they got elsewhere.
I'm just getting my voice in now before it becomes too late. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind bigger characters and the occasional exploration of niche interests as I think it's good to try and be fair to the people who like it but at the same time, there just shouldn't be too much of it in my opinion. Maeve, Daisy, the girlfriend in the prologue whose name I've forgotten now, they all look great. Edela is acceptable simply because she could have been way thicker to the point of it being BBW. I just think there should be a standard to how big (as well as muscular) a character can be, with Edela being a good template for weight class. Edela should be thick enough of a character for people who like thick characters while not being a BBW for those of us who dislike BBW.
