the other stats are pretty useless in the game so don't even bother looking for them.. all you need is a little $$$ and you're good to go..

Earlier on
energy used to be mildly important in that if it dropped to 0, Kate would refuse to do anything until she had a rest. But I think even that concept has long since been abandoned

0.49 is almost done and if everything goes well, it should come out tomorrow. The update turned out to be bigger than we planned, it's basically the size of a normal update, somehow. However, the important metric is the fact that we made is faster than usual, just like we aimed.
And now that 0.49 is practically done, it's time to think about 0.50. Just like 0.49, we will try to make a smaller update in a shorter amount of time. Step one is deciding who will be the protagonist for the next update, Max or Kate. This is what the next poll will be about.

At this point you start to think that he wants his gf to say "bigger than expected"
ok so this guy decides to make smaller but more frequent updates yet this this apparently also bigger than a normal update wtf is thsi management and planning

This is what Darksilver is telling us everytime he releases an update:
4 times out of 10 : "this is our biggest update ever"
3 times out of 10 : "update turned out bigger than we planned"
3 times out of 10 : "well, we had planned a Kate's update, but Max won the latest poll, so next update is going to be Max's"

PLaning was never his strong side, by now we should be used to that. The results are worth the wait however.

When he started having polls for content and main character focus, it became obvious that he has next to zero creative integrity and a near total lack of fresh ideas. Rehashing content from earlier failed attempts, new content that often doesn't work, stuff that wouldn't ever be fixed if not for modders and worst of all, a ridiculous hyperdependency on grind instead of actually using the stats system to provide logical progression.
IMO, he should just sit and write a damn game script before any coding or rendering happens.
At least that way he wouldn't lose the plot.
It's not a planning problem it's just natural and really not worth mentioning. They make the renders, implement them, play through that part of the game and realise they could use a couple of extra images to polish it off, then add them. You're never going to play through and think that it could use fewer renders, so it grows a little.
