Thanks, was trying to be very fair because I see a lot of potential in this game. I see what you're doing with the 'research' during the camping periods, but I think that functionality needs to ramp up as the game progresses. There are so many monsters, traps and curses to research, each one consuming two time slots and only five slots available each camping session. That amount of grind to access what essentially is an encyclopedia and replay gallery combined is really wild. I'm not sure if that is supposed to improve in a new game+ system or what, but it's rough as it currently stands.
Well you can carry research over between runs. On the one hand, it's something to use camp time for, on the other hand, camp time is only going to come at more of a premium as more stuff gets added to camp, so I guess this could be an issue.

As far as the porn angle is concerned, the 16-bit style is visually pleasing enough and should be easy to implement short 3 or 4 frame animations without much effort. Fleshing out the monster escalation interactions with more art to go along with all the flavor text would go a long way, and maybe start with an animation for the final interaction escalation like the mind fucker. When it comes to porn games, that's what will get more attention and patreon's.
I don't disagree that it would be nice. Although despite doing all the art for the game, I'm not an artist so it's pretty hard to agree with 'not much effort'.

Edit: Right, something I'd been meaning to bring up. Maybe do something about the font when selecting things for the NG+, as "0" looks like "8" and I keep wondering why I can't pick a certain upgrade when I'm at 1425/1488.
While it's probably something people will get used to, I've had enough people comment on it that I probably should go in and see about editing the font itself.

Edit: Ooookay, bug with the new auto-turn function. I just clicked the "end turn" button and it automatically made my characters start doing auto-turns. I started looking around in the settings and found that there's an "enable auto-turn toggle" option... that was turned off. So *something* isn't going right here. Edit 2: It's from clicking a certain part of the end turn button. Oh my god. The "enable auto-turn toggle" option causes the button to move up or down from being hidden behind the end turn button, but you can still click through to it. :ROFLMAO: Guess I'll have to enable the button for now so I'm not accidentally clicking it when I'm trying not to.
dammiiiiiittttt... It's not a huge deal but it does seem kinda sloppy. I guess I was probably using the space bar during testing instead and didn't catch this, or I had it enabled all the time (since it's not like it really gets in the way). I'll take this kind of bug over the game crashes (which I'm sure we're not out of the woods with yet) any day though.

Hahaha go read my latest edit. Although that's more of an issue with carrying over save data.

For now, yes. The dev said they're working on more camp interactions for the next content update, and indicated that this will include some sexy stuff.
Ty, do I need to have some sort of minimum lust for the scenes or should I trying to keep it as low as possible at all times?

Not all of them, but some of the scenes do change with high lust, yes. For example, getting hit by the Gazer's "expose" effect while at high lust will cause the character to visualize herself naked.

Hmm... So I just ran through the second floor of the dungeon and didn't see a single runty or weakling monster. I'll have to do more tests with future runs to see if it was just RNG, but the difficulty scaling might actually make it so that there's literally never a circumstance where Pity can trigger right now if the relevant monsters can only spawn on the first floor, before you get any curses.

Edit: The Broken Clock has the 12:00 effect twice and no 11:00 effect. At least according to my research notes, and testing it by throwing Raine at it and not letting her disarm it. Speaking of the research log, it doesn't show the event for disarming the paper seals even though I *know* I've disarmed that trap. I haven't encountered it after the update, though, so I'll see what happens. Edit 2: Yup, disarming the paper seals trap (in a not-dark room) just gave me the "disarmed a trap" message with no event.

That's...not right, is it? I'm pretty sure that Aphrodisiac icon didn't used to be there, but it's there for all the descriptions I click on in this shop. I don't remember what it used to be, and I can't think of why it would be there. Wait, I might be able to open up an older version to check... Edit 2: Yeah, no, it used to look like this:

If this is supposed to be something new, it's not clear what it's supposed to mean. Sounds like it's more likely a bug... Ooooh, or maybe it's an accidental teaser for part of the UI you were working on for spells we can cast in camp, hmmmmmmm?

Not removing the removed curses from metaprogress saves is my bad, though I will still file it under 'relatively harmless and easy to fix' at least, and if it only crashes when you try to research those curses, that's a lesson people will be able to pick up on pretty quick, and if they can't resist the temptation, they could always just not carry over curse research to clear out their list.
I'll probably add an internal metaprogress save file update to the next release, especially if there are any more removals for things that could be carried over.

Incorrect hint for localized aurora miss, broken clock having 12 appear twice in research (although 11 CAN trigger in game), and paper seal disarm not triggering are due to some copy paste errors. That's gonna happen here and there, but do keep reporting them if you find any more.

And yes, I know for a fact that weakling and runty monsters can spawn. Even if it doesn't happen enough to make Pity a threat for now, that's fine. That won't be the case forever.

Wait, misidentifying a fire as a localized aurora was a *mistake*? Goddamn, how many transparently intentional jokes are you accidentally making, here? I seriously thought there was an event where you disarm a Bestial Pyre and it turns out it was just a Localized Aurora instead. "Raine! The house is on fire!" "No, Inquisitor, it's just the northern lights!" Before this, I was actually going to suggest adding a random chance to show the page for Localized Aurora when clicking the Bestial Pyre research page.

I threw up another new bug edit while you were posting, btw.

Realistically, I should say "that's between you and godot to figure out" and that I can't really do anything about it, but instead I will say that I was previously able to get the game running on a win 10 virtual machine in VMWare without opengl 3.3 by using as a software renderer (just putting the dll in the same directory as the game) so you may be able to do the same kind of thing in 7. I hope you understand that me saying this doesn't mean I officially support doing it or guarantee that anything in particular in the game will actually work though.
I havent played or even downloaded this game yet. I just looked at the thread and saw the discussion.
Then offered up a direction for you to look at for the fairly large number of people with crashes.
Strive and Strive Conquest had the same difficulties with Godot and win 7.
Thankfully, I no longer have any of those issues.
Best of luck to you on figuring it out.

I haven't had any issues in Windows 7 with either game aside from reproducible and fixable crashes that seemed to be affecting all operating systems in this one. Unless the crash-on-death issue is OS related (I don't think we've figured that one out and I haven't died yet in the current build), everything else seems to mostly be accounted for and getting fixed one by one.

Edit: Alright, I think there's either a delay in how long before revealed curses are visible, or there's an issue with triggering the visibility of Pride. I had Raine leave a room with a monster in it and got the "Wounded Pride" status, but both her unrevealed curses were still unrevealed. I tried a second time, and then a third when Lucette was in the room. The third seemed to have finally revealed it, although it doesn't seem to have triggered a double duration status. Edit 2: Can confirm that it's still only 5 turns when leaving with an ally present.

Rope of Binding's constrict scene does not play properly.
Can confirm, another "this pangram" error. The Drider's last scene also has no hint. It's great that we're able to verify all this stuff now, though. Hopefully I can get the "lustless masturbation" issue to trigger again now that the more detailed combat log will let me see exactly what caused it...

In non-bug-related news, I hope you realize that you are now obligated to let us maid-ify the knights in some way. Maybe if we get their desires to cook and clean high enough and they trigger the maid room trap, an alternate scene will play where they reflexively respond to the order to begin cleaning the dungeon and start putting on a maid outfit. The Inquisitor snaps them out of it, but they secretly bring the maid outfit back to camp with them...

Oh right, and I keep forgetting to bring up the scene skip thing again. It's great that a way to skip it exists, but there should be some mouse-based method to do it (maybe an X in the corner of the text box?), which would also help with letting people know that a method exists in the first place. And it's got me wondering, what other key commands are in the game that don't have a mouse counterpart?

Edit: One of the Combat Maid's events (presumably just the normal hit) seems to skip past most of its content and simply says, "And that means it's practically inevitable that she would eventually score a clean hit like this."

Edit: Alright, either the Magical Maid's "injure someone with Grace" isn't working, or its chance of happening needs to be increased significantly. Considering that Grace is lost the moment you take any sort of damage and only obtained by walking into a trap room that hasn't been explored yet (and not being so exhausted that you're hit by the trap) with a specific skill exclusive to one character, I've had to have Elli abandon the fight and go find an unexplored trap room every time I want to attempt to trigger the event. Which I did many times, with no luck.

Edit: Got it! Here's a screenshot of the combat log starting from the last time Elli took lust damage before getting into a lustless masturbation loop.

Edit: And again with Lucette. Hmm... It seems to be related to Pheromones? They were also both Shaken and had Weakness of Spirit, but I'm not sure if that's related.

Edit: Okay, I knew the 0s looked like 8s, but holy shit seeing the number "1850" really puts it in perspective.

I'm not going to respond to each thing individually here, but trust that I am logging/fixing them as they come up and most are just small mistakes that are pretty simple. Also don't blame the poor pangram, it did nothing wrong, it's just the generic text that I have in the dialogue box for formatting in the editor, and I should probably take it out. It could have just as easily been lorem ipsum.

I will say that the Magical⭑Maid Grace scene and the last Drider scene were intentionally turned off (I didn't finish writing them), but weren't removed from the event list, so don't worry about triggering those.

And I'll have a look at that lustless masturbation thing sometime soon.

let us maid-ify the knights in some way
I do love me some maids.

Ahh, so the research is basically a new game+ feature by carrying it forward. That makes it more bearable for sure, but if your intention is to add more to do in the camp, yeah more time consumables would be handy. For now though grinding it through new game+ is okay.

I don't disagree that it would be nice. Although despite doing all the art for the game, I'm not an artist so it's pretty hard to agree with 'not much effort'.
For not being an artist, it's better than average for sure. Your current process is quite time consuming, my comment was more in relation that for a typical artist it would be easier to produce artwork at this level of fidelity compared to a typical JRPG CG. Smaller color pallete, lower resolution, it's handy for expanding the game without bloating the size of it with art assets. Making animations would be similarly easier to do and avoid asset bloat as well. Finding an artist feels like the right next step, for what it's worth.

Thanks for putting effort into the replies btw

Edit: Okay, played through NG+ a bunch and that's where the game becomes easier by quite a bit. Key is to take Purity and Skill +1 so that you can start the game with each girl at Level 3 Purity. Because the girls wind up recovering fairly often during any dungeon run, this maxed skill effectively wipes out any significant temporary corruption gain. Given that the only game over condition is corruption hitting 100, this setup on top of avoiding curses makes it relatively simple to reach the final floor each time. Spells like thorns from scrying, and the exit stairs being a recovery point, are also top pics. Side effect of focusing like this means each girls stats get to the max of 15 and without curses to compound corruption, you don't wind up unlocking much in the encyclopedia anymore. The girls just get too good.

We'll see how it feels once I get more added, but even now I'm leaning toward doubling the camp time slots and probably dropping research to one slot (or what would be half a slot in the current system).

Well thank you for saying so. It has definitely grown on me and I'm more bothered by the time investment and limitations from my process than I am bothered by the quality of the results.

I'm not against it, I'm just unsure how to set it all up. Would need to find someone that can fit into the existing style (not that hard I would think) and figure out how those kinds of asset creation deals work like, legally. Also there's the cost to consider... I mean I've made like 20 something whole dollars off the game so far, but I'm not sure I can stretch that far enough.

Purity is VERY good, to the point where it might STILL need a nerf (it used to be even better).
Also (and this is another thing I know I don't explain anywhere) base stats aren't maxed at 15, they just require 2 stat points to level up at that point and 3 stat points to level up at 20, etc. It's intended to be that stat points are more valuable early on but the diminishing returns make it so they are gradually a worse investment compared to skills, but the balance and game length isn't quite there for that idea to fully work out.
Sad part is that it will probably not help when alternative means of getting skill points are added, or when permanent corruption becomes any less permanent. I may end up having to adjust to make allowing curses more enticing in the future. Once you can get over the big scary +1 to P Corruption at the end of th floor, the choice does seem a bit easy to make when you look at it mechanically (although taking skills feels more fun).

I did notice a minor spelling mistake. When you pick a character, it will have "stay the-e" instead of stay there.

Also, I was wondering about our protag's corruption. They basically can trade corruption points too in a higher interval. Is it going to be possible for them to get corrupted as well resulting in you intentionally screwing the girls over in the dungeon for the hentai? I already see a lot of mind control/hypnosis stuff, but was wondering if the protag would end up dipping into it.

An alternative method would be to shift skill point and stat point gain out of the dungeon and to the camp, assisting the girls with improving themselves because they need it to survive the dungeon. Instead of having the curses inflicted when moving between floors have the traps and enemies inflict curses. You can then change dispel to removing a curse at the cost of inflicting permanent corruption in accordance to the permanent corruption value of the curse. With this you can put the more severe curses in deeper floors.

Though that may require a change in the curses, but that can make some currently rather not threatening traps (like aurora) threatening and could aid in monster design. Stuff like Gazer inflicting exhibitionism which could be changed to give the inflicted a compulsion to wear less changing their appearance with a chance to cause them to spontaneously strip and inflict exposure on themselves, or a succubus who curses the girls with idle hands because she likes making girls play with themselves, the drider "helping" the girls "accept" their inner rope bunny, etc.

As it stands I have almost given up on skills entirely because raw stats lets you bulldoze the monsters and traps down as the skills start to feel not worth it because many of them are reliant on the base stat anyways, require specific conditions to have a use, or are prone to turning off right after you proc them.

Noooo, don't take away the pangram! He tells us when there are bugs, and also when there are letters.

Well, I would hope there would at least be some scenes and stuff tied to them at some point, but I guess that doesn't address the long term gameplay aspect of wanting to take some in every run. Maybe you could make it so that researching a curse unlocks the ability to trigger an event in the camp under specific conditions, and viewing the event will allow the curse to evolve into a "mastered" form that has a benefit alongside its penalty. Like masochists receiving reduced injury damage, and stuff like that.

I think you might be mistaking the mana exchange at the witch's shop. The protagonist isn't gaining corruption, just reducing his maximum mana (for equipping spells) until the next time he enters the witch's shop.
