Actually, no. MC dribbled the ball past the last defender save the goalie before he made the pass, so there's no offsides in effect.
EDIT: It's possible I'm wrong, since I misremembered the exact rule, but the previous shot when MC actually passes the the ball it's unclear if Cobretti is in front of the MC or parallel to him at the moment of the kick ... so unless it was clear to the sideline ref that Cobretti was in front of the ball when MC passes, it's unlikely that would result in an offsides since the rest of the defense was behind them.

I can't believe I'm arguing about the offside rule on a porn game forum... If there is no defender (disregarding the goalie) between the goal line and the player in possession of the ball that's perfectly fine, but if that player then passes the ball to another player who was ahead of all the defenders when the ball was played, then that player is deemed 'offside' and would not be able to play the ball. The moment Cobretti touched the ball, he interfered with play because he was an offside player and play should be halted and given to the opposition as a goal kick.
Just because the player with the ball is himself in a 'theoretical' offside position doesn't mean a thing, it's in the act of passing that the offside rule comes into play. Anyone can dribble the ball past players and only have the goalie to beat, but if they pass the ball, it better be to a player who is onside, otherwise the play is wasted. This rule is to protect the against where two players could make a coordinated run down the pitch with the ball passing back and forth causing the goalie to be outnumbered and outmanoeuvred.

If I remember correctly, it is not offside if the other player is behind the line of the ball (that's why from a corner kick everybody can stay up to the goal line if they want); what is unclear from the images is if Cobretti was indeed behind the ball at the moment of the pass or not, because that would be the relevant factor.

I did read it. That's why I realized I might be wrong. But you didn't read far enough apparently. Yes, I misremembered the exact rule, but it's been 30+ years since I refed youth soccer, so give me a break.
If the player with the ball is further up field than anyone except the goalie when he passes the ball, there is no offsides. This image shows the ball near the goal line, but a pass forward that the other player catches up to is still not offsides if he was behind the ball field-position-wise when it was kicked. Just like if the player is in line with the last defender when the pass is made and races ahead.
So as long as the sideline ref doesn't think the receiver is past the ball (or passed the last non-goalie defender if the ball is behind him) when the pass is made, all is golden.

Okay fair, I haven't actually watched a game for a couple of decades so I'll accept it. Now explain why every player toe punted the ball.
