Imagine how much money the dev is losing out on because he wants to please his Patreons. Many including me would've subbed to his Patreon to get the new release. In my case because It's a big update and I'm a fan of Dottie and It's stated that It's a lot of content with her.
what I don't understand is how as a PATREON you want to lock out the update for your little group... do they really care? or is it just a powerplay for those basement dwellers? again, I do support a DEV when I feel like their creation tickles my fancy, but usually I never pledge longer than 2 months in a row, and just like you I would have supported him for longer than just one month, but this 30 day rule and super expensive higher tiers are just not worth it imo. I just wait and play a bit later, same sh1t! (I just wanted to see what is on his PATREON page when you sign up to the lowest tier)

He won't, it has watermarks, he will remove the watermarks and post it in the thread for everyone like he did last time after all the identifying information is removed, and that is if anyone actually sends it to him.
I wonder how many of those +260 paid people are the highest tier! can't be higher than 5-10% ! even that would be insane in my opinion

Exactly this! What's the point of long-term support at the $5 or $10 tier, when you're forced to wait anyway? You don't get the game, even if you've been subbed since January, which is even dumber because you've *literally paid more than expected* to get the game. It's discouraging for new patrons, and insulting to current patrons. Huge shame, considering how great the game is.
