Updated Good Ash and Lesbian Eva, Good Ash and Bad Eva for v14 final.
Hello, there's no update for v16 so far?

Gotta love people somehow making a big deal out of that and pretending like others don't use actual pictures (or atleast pieces of it) as the base for their art.

Heh. I actually don't care where the art comes from or how it is drawn (having some art background, I will tell you that even tracing, in detail, is no easy task).

What matters to me is the synergy of the art and plot that creates this extremely fun and challenging game.

But, I see no harm in the idle speculation of source material. Just adds more flavor and some things to do in between updates.

I'll take "tracing" any day over daz models. Only game I've found that does Daz good is DoD, the rest are just bland and ugly... that I've seen.

You can always tell the dedicated Daz devs from the lazy ones. Lazy ones don't morph at all from the base model. 130 redheads that all look the same.

The problem with Daz 3D models is that in the end you are looking at plastic sex dolls going at it. There's that uncanny valley that reminds you about those real doll latex thingies rather than real people. What's good about hand drawn art (if it's done correctly) is that it appeals to you in a different way, specially if the facial expressions are good.

Yup. As impressive as 3D games can be on here, they are a bit frozen. Hand drawn allows for myriad expressions and poses. I don't know which is slower, rendering or drawing, but the difference in (as Brickman alludes) good line art and 3D can be stark.

Facial expressions are key, at least for me. And not only in the sexy scenes.

Then again, altough I like it, the art style is not the most impostant thing in GGGB imho. And I'm not alone in that regard, I think, the last poll in the patreon page was precisely about that ("What makes GGGB stand out?" was the question) and the winner option was "Choice mechanics and player agency" (424 votes), then "Writing and storyline" (345 votes) and being a "Female main character" (330 votes) almost tied, and last "Art style" (227 votes). Sounds about right.

I definitely agree. I must praise Eva Kiss for improving recently (she really has) but it's not the focal point. I would argue that any erotic games rely heavily on "aesthetic". It must be pleasing to the eye, as porn relies on it's visuals (unless it's a text game then it's the writing). I find 3D rendered models fucking ugly, as it strikes so goddamn uncanny valley to me. The colors are flat on the characters, and there is no true dimension. I can't play a erotic game if I find the characters who I'll see fucking as absolutely ugly.

I think, as with all things, it's eye of the beholder. There are some stiff-as-boards 3D games and there are some beautiful model 3D games. The difference is probably time and effort (like everything in life).

I come from a pencil art background (as well as comics), so I appreciate Eva's art style. But I have a few 3D games where I think the devs do wonderful work.

And, as mentioned earlier, the more immersive the story/game, the more the art can complement (or distract) from it.

Well yeah, art is just a means to give further illustration to what the mind reads. The story (imo) is what matters the most because it gives your mind something to invest in.

Yeah, doesn't really matter if a game has awesome visuals with the hottest looking models rendered in 4K when it's characters are blunt with dialogue choices like "Hey, let's fuck!". At least to me, depth of writing and immersive story is what keeps me playing and GGGB is the definiton of excellence in writing. Just thanks to this, it beats 99% of games on this forum and keeps me craving for next updates.

True, but let's be honest, none of us would give the game a second glance if it had a shit art.
