It is, I had him back in my first "Slut" playthrough. Don't know the trigger either, but I kept him as "boyfriend" all the time.

I think there is still LOTS of life left in the game. As Ashley's addiction to drugs gets worse there will be a need for her to go into rehab, here we could choose to clean up a bad Ashley and reform her a bit, or just get her off the drugs and keep her as depraved as she is. We still really need to get behind Evans mask and find out what he is about, plus there is the continuing corruption of Iris to handle and any number of other things. Given the fact that there are just so many options now opening up I would recommend to Eva to stop doing previews and instead go to an every 2 months release schedule to give her time to properly fill out the various paths

I got the point of those who want EK finish the game but I wouldn't be so radical. My opinion about it:
What makes me think it would be good to see endings soon :
- A lot of fetishes and sex situations have been explored (and with different characters too) so sex scenes could have been (for some of us) and could be less surprising and exciting in future updates.
- Ashley's life is also quite developed and a lot of ways/evolutions including sex have been explored too (friend, friend with benefits, girlfriend, whore, model, camgirl, secretary, loving daugther, naughty stepdaughter...). I think we miss yet the "porn actress way" but we are close to this...
What makes me think I don't want the end of GGGB:
- Some fetishes remain (I talked about pregnancy in a previous post, there is also mother/daughter thing...)
- I like sex content (oh, really?) but I also like detailed dialogues especially for the good paths (with Eva, Dave and Dad) and I think some of them could really stand in several additional updates to be well described.
- I think the main problem for a lot of people (especially those who follow just one or a few paths) who want EK finish the game is the progression in monthly updates. With all the paths she has to deal with and the monthly timing, EK can't detail all the stories like she did in first updates, she has to focus on some of them (like Ryan trip in last update).
Except finishing the game, I think the only solution to this issue is to wait 2, 3 or 4 updates to get much content to discover. (that said, it shows how EK has succeeded to make a good game : even if we are disappointed by some updates, we can't wait to see the next one and it would be hard to come back to the game months later...).
In my case, I like to discover and try all the paths, so this last update took me busy during quite a time and I was really glad to see the number of scenes in it (even if these are small scenes)!
Imagine you're just discovering the game now (or imagine people who are)... I wouldn't be surprised of a reaction like: "Wow, so good, so much content, can't wait next updates...").
Finally I'd say EK get us used to "high quality" and we become more and more demanding
According to that, it might be good to finish soon to have great endings but it might be good to see how she can still surprise us too

I said this before, but I keep thinking that GGGB is like a soap opera... I don't see any need for it to end.
Soap operas have plenty of twists and turns without actually driving the plot to some sort of final destination. Just like plenty soap opera characters turn from evil to good to evil again, you can corrupt and de-corrupt the characters in GGGB forever.
