If only... There are a lot of people like that even in this thread. Almost all of their playerbase came for the art only, so they didn't give a fuck. But now they are getting mad cause they can't play anymore on their old computers.
Sad to see the engine switch, but because of that, the game is dead, at least to me. I had it on wishlist on GOG, but switching a mediocre game with some many fuck ups in the past to a new engine, that is worse in all aspects than renpy was the last straw. Especially if I read all the negative comments. Who ever is making these dumb decisions in the dev team: get rid of him/her. The only thing, they achieved is to alienate their community. In the end, with these bad decisions, they won't make more money, but less. And if it was to fight the community to unren the files, they're fighting a war, that they can't win, especially now. Many more people will now try to figure out how to decompile the files to simply get the images.
My take is that if a dev wants to change engines they should just continue from where they left off (part 1 - part 2). Despite the illusion of choice and all the variables, most games end up with only a few paths(maybe 3 in average). So a quick recap where the player defines his path can be used as a quick solution. And I write this last bit cause some devs do complicate themselves with recaps containing every effing choice instead of just a "who the f you are pursuing" or something like that..
Now I have to start over and can't skip what I've already played? I use the Android version and I can't find the save section like the old version anymore. What the hell ?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there any difficulty adding scenes to an already more than half-finished game that you've been creating for over a year?
For android users, don't play this shit, you get stuck in the dojo and there's no way to advance, also you can't use saves if you play on android 13/14, don't waste your time 
You can't access the save file on android unless you got root access. Damn bad news for android bros.

It's better in a lot of aspects. The rendering is better, it uses less memory, and it doesn't hammer the CPU as hard. And the presentation has truly been elevated in ways you'd have to rewrite large chunks of Renpy to manage. Yeah it's currently a little crashy but Renpy is hardly immune to stability problems either. It'll get better as people file bug reports.
All those negative comments are coming from people who frankly don't have a clue what they're talking about jumping to conspiracy theory reasons for everything.
They don't need to figure out how to "decompile" anything to extract the images already. The people saying that's a motivation again don't have a clue what they're talking about. Godot just puts everything into a single file. A built-in option in Godot is to encrypt the PCK/project files and they haven't even done that. You just need tools for working with Godot projects, all easily available from GitHub with a Google search. I've already got the full project open in the Godot editor and I had to put zero work into deobfuscation.
