Hi Everyone, it’s finally time to make the announcement, to reveal the release date of version 0.12 of Goodbye Eternity.
I know for some of you it’s been a long wait, and there’s a very good reason for that.
The last update didn’t include any NSFW content and was focused on story progression, so I wanted to make up for it with version 0.12.
The NSFW scenes will be incredible, Montie and Ohm have outdone themselves to deliver the best for you.
As of October 29, there are 2 remaining SFW CGs to complete, as well as a new sprite for an existing character. The SFW scenes are faster to produce since we don’t have to deal with all the complex cutwork needed for animation.
So I’m announcing that I plan to be ready for the third week of November. It might drop on a Monday, maybe on a Sunday, it’s still impossible to say, but know that we’re always giving our absolute best.
I also have more news to share. Starting with version 0.12, you’ll be getting continuous monthly updates for several months. Yes, that’s not a joke. These updates will feature bad endings, rewarding the boldest players with unique character skins each time such a scenario is completed.
A quick note about the bad endings: to unlock or avoid them, you’ll face choices in-game at specific moments. The pattern is clear, you’ll have the option to reject, dismiss, or ignore a character seeking your help or opinion.
The first bad choice unlocks a second one later in the story, which then unlocks a third, leading directly to the bad ending.
To reach a bad ending, you must make three consecutive wrong choices. That way, you’ll never be caught off guard. After the third, I consider it a deliberate path, and the tragic outcome begins.
You’ll experience the moments where your actions doomed those close to you, followed by a summary of what happens afterward. Then, you’ll see a Game Over screen with the option to go back and correct your path so the story can continue. This way, the Game Over won’t be too punishing and won’t force you to restart the story from the beginning.
I hope you’ll enjoy all of this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
